Remember that game that was trying to be built called, "Sneezing In Equestria?" Discuss it here.

We actually had everything for the game. We didn't plan on doing voices yet, so we did have all we need. Nearly every scene and location was drawn, I would say 90% for our first release. We had the items. We had base characters, enough for a basic release. We had the inventory layout set up.
We didn't have a title screen.
But other then that, we had pretty much everything. We thought we had TWO coders at one time, but neither pulled through. Whether it was too much to accomplish, they never said. They kind of faded away. The artists and writers all did their part.

I remember it being suggested. I thought to myself "Nah. I don't think it could be possible.". Then I saw that it was serious. The game was really being made. XD
Too bad it couldn't be finished. :(

I watched it too. It is too bad the coders just disappeared. If they would have just said it was too much for them, I would have been fine and understanding. The fact they just left... ehhh... kinda lame.

I don't think I know anything about SiE ^^; Even if you just make a youtube clip of different artworks like a powerpoint slide, maybe it'll bring back a coder or voices or something :)

It would be hard to do coding. Coding is pretty hard. I have several friends who can code, but it would be waaaay to embarrassing to ask them to code something like this.

It is a simple point and click, or we could make it simpler.
Maybe start with just something basic.
Before the plan was to have all of Ponyville you could explore and find characters to make sneeze. Maybe it needs to just start simple with one character and you choose items to make them sneeze.

I don't know anything about coding really =( and right now college is going to suck my time a lot more than it has the first month and a half X_X but I would help if I could with writing dialogue for the text. I helped with one of the sneezefurs games about Maxie ^^ That was a long time ago though XD

First one was going to be massive. But you got to start somewhere. Better to have something, then nothing. Plus we got two driven people right now.

This game won't have locations. It will be like SiE Lite. :) Just the nitty gritty. Sneezes.
Maybe someday we can expand from what we learned in this, and make an actual BIG game. By then the fandom will be gone. ;)

To change the characters, you currently have to open the console, and type changeChar(). I will add a way to change it on the page tomorrow.

It is no longer changing the picture when the character sneezes. All these needs to work fluidly for a successful game. :) To make it more user-friendly, you should find a way to make it so you simply click on a character's icon to change the character without having to do console commands. So far you guys have a great start.

Wow! It is working terrifically. You click the feather, it becomes you sneeze item, then you induce, and it makes the character sneeze.
Now you just need more items, and characters to be drawn. :) Nice work on all who contributed.

There might need to be some tweaking.
But overall, it is pretty on-par with how people think, I think. Based on what we've done before, we all agreed for the most part Pinkie and Rarity sneeze the most.
Twilight is an average sneezer besides a few triggers. Flutter in there somewhere.
Dash and Apple are least.

Well, I added an induce button below the image to cause the sneeze. Now, to change the item, click the image instead of the text.

There is a few second delay for the new images to appear. If you click on the image of the item, it should change. If you click on a character, it should change.
Remember this is still sort of a test before our legit characters and his coding for character sneeze triggers goes into account.

Welcome to the community.
Unfortunately, I do not think this is happening. The art and a lot of it is done. It is just no one could ever code it.
Though we do have a member, Grapefoot, who is working on a similar idea. It is a game, that will be a visual novel with choices that you can click and it has artwork and all that stuff. Not sure his progress. He did recently say he had to focus on other things.

So as of right now, SiE is on hold. As Silverwing said above, the art, the map, everything's done. It is just the expert coder we need to stick it all together.

Well thank you for that, but we don't need money. It's free to make. ;) We'll eventually get something going. We have a few coders here who show us their test projects from time to time, and they only keep getting better.

I can't code unfortunately :( but I'd be happy to help in whatever ways I could. Perhaps a list of roles that need to be filled to make this happen would be useful? If anyone would be willing to run point on this project?

All we need is someone to code it together. Our previous coders just.... stopped.
We have a lot of the assets, enough to make a good portion of the game. We have a lot of character models and all the sneeze related tools. We had a demo that ran really well, but now we don't have it anymore.

You did do the demo, right? I thought it was you the first time, Claof. It was a good demo.

The demo was simple and functional. It was good. We just didn't know how to implement some features. We could roam the map easily enough, but we seemed to be stuck how to implement features via coding. We would have almost had to have led INTO a sneeze based on going to a certain area on the map. It would be scheduled and planned and not a mini game. More like a cutscene for going to a certain area.

Use zip. They can open anything but .rar and .exe it seems. Though the .rar files work on my Mac for the Sims game. So I am not sure.

Probably shrinking the scope of the game. It depends on what the limitations of our willing coders is. Until they can say what they can develop, we just wait around.

Would the coder be able to show a sensitivity meter when the item is tickling the characters nose?
Will points be able to be added to their score based on how many sneezes and strength of the sneeze of the character?

I've gotten better since last time this was attempted. It's even possible to add voices now (assuming we could find people willing to record voices for this).

The point of the score is to simply make the player feel like they are winning, right? I think the sneezes would do enough to make them feel like they are winning since this is for sneeze fetishists. Might not need a score... unless the score also calculates how big the sneeze and sneeze fit, etc.

I think it would be cool if voices could be added. There are quite a few people on here, who would make great voices and sneezes for the game.

Well, you could have two versions of the game to take care of that problem. For those who want to imagine their own, let them download the base game and for those who want voice overs, they can download that version.

I agree with waiting for the game to be more complete before sounds are implemented. Once it is though, I could always add a sound option (toggle on/off).

So based off our original plot, you are just a random pony who has come to town. You start at the entrance of Ponyville and have the freedom to walk in and choose where to go and who to meet.
@Blurr001 do you have the google page with all our game assets and files in it? It had characters, map, setting files, and sneeze tools like feathers and stuff? Otherwise we need to find all them and get them re-uploaded.

I'd say I could help, but I'd be lying. I know some coding, and I've made my own little CYOA game with a partner, but we were just using the basic Windows Manager thing because of C++. I don't really know how to implement it into an actual game itself, the art and all that. If I learned, I probably could scrap up a small demo or something, but It'd be hard. Also time. Junior in Uni, so. Yeah.

I know Grapefoot and I attempted learning coding. Grapefoot did better then me, but we could never make things work out how we wanted. It kept breaking and file sizes were too big. So as of now, it's going nowhere.

Nope. Not anymore. It was all on PSF 1.0 and lost there. All the pieces I still have from creating the assets, but we never had a coder last to put it together. We had a handful, but all just quit without saying anything, which was really disappointing. The demo was lost with a hard drive conking out.
I don't think we ever released the demo to the public, but we had a rough built that us working on it could use and we were able to move around town, see rough images of the characters and do some basic functions, but nothing worked in-depth without the proper work of someone coding it. Essentially we made a rough point-and-click program.
So if someone wants the assets we have and wants to make it work, I am sure we could revive it.

As the unofficial PSF Historian, lol, I have found some very old files I don't think have ever been posted. I think I found demo files, but they are .exe and I cannot open them. But please, others who worked on the game, look through your Hard drives and try to find or send me anything you have. Okay, so the file appears to be my old visual novel I was working on, the demo I originally published for all to see. But for some reason I cannot get it to open, even in the program I had used. It is corrupted or something.

Did you find a new program to run those old files?
Not new, but I was able to open the program and see the title screen... so I hadn't had that happen before.

It got cancelled, aka no activity, due to having no one who could do simple code. But a lot of the assets made for the game are still done. There was a demo made, very basic, but it no longer exists. It had so much potential.

It's really sad. I think the files are still available to see. There was a map with scenery already made for much of the game. It just needed to be put together somehow. A lot of the pieces were made and were there.

I was feeling nostalgia-y and found these and had to share these early versions of the game images! This would have been so incredible. It was so close to fruition. It honestly still holds up, if only we still had the base engine so we could run the demo again.

Wow... the artwork is very impressive for an amateur fetish game.

It was a really cool project back then. I wish it would have come to fruition. Things have changed a lot since then.
