A discarded item from the trash (https://img0.etsystatic.com/028/0/5723169/il_fullxfull.659118886_hn61.jpg) utterly captivates Buxton, Mooch, and Bear, although they aren't quite sure why. Pretty soon each dreams of gaining sole ownership of the item, and they start to plot against one another. As the dogs become overwhelmed by jealousy and greed and begin to fight, it looks as if the mysterious item may threaten their friendship.

I liked the build up and how the dog put their paw under Mooch's nose to try and stop the sneeze.  Ha ha!  The sneeze was good and wet too!  Thanks!

Buxton and Mooch!  Those colors and faces are pretty intense on this.  I can see a lot of work was done on the detailing.  The sneeze itself was loud too and you made good use of the scenery shot and the echoing sneeze!  Nice job! Looks like the comic's a real hoot.

That's a pretty cartoony sneeze and a well built up comic with a very cinematic layout.  Impressed.

Thank you, thank you.  These characters' interactions are basically one part Goodfeathers (https://youtu.be/_EuCOhT0Bg8?t=313) and two parts The Laughing Hyenas (https://youtu.be/I_4I0OUbB9I?list=PLPhzGpSspSHwZEncaJyAa7S2qUf1UyBq4&t=107).   The story was partly inspired by my dog Bear's actual reaction to a Taco Bell chihuahua bobblehead-- he was both fascinated and a little scared by it.  He had this habit of jumping up on the back of our living-room sofa, so to break him of this I would set the chihuahua atop the couch. Whenever old Bear would see it, he would back away and avoid climbing up on the furniture.  It worked for a while--until he became acclimated to it, I suppose, so it sort of lost its hold on him.   :-]

Just as with the last story, this gag was also inspired by something Bear did... one day, he was chasing a rabbit across our lawn when it escaped and ducked into one of the clay drainage pipes my neighbors had stacked up in their backyard. The pipe was too small for him to go in after it, so Bear walked back and forth across the top of the pipe, peering into first one end, then the other, while Mr. Bun remained safely inside, in the middle of it.  Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, seeming to become more frustrated with each pass. I got to thinking how funny it would be if the motion of him running up and down the pipe jarred it free, causing it to move, then bump into one of its neighbors, making the row of pipes shake, come loose, fall free, and start rolling away...across the back lawn, then out into the road, then off towards the highway, scaring people, crashing into houses, hitting cars, and disrupting the traffic.  This was the result.


Buddy's facial expressions while peering at the "fourth wall" are a nod to the ones in this old Merrie Melodies cartoon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxvqr7tSk5g).

Very cartoony!  Very very cartoony, like the classic cartoons of yesteryear.  I know that's your inspiration too.  It's nice to see someone take visual gags to such a level as you.
