Title: Some Good Charities?
Post by: FoxTail on 2019-12-06 16:01:14
I like to give each year around Christmas to some charities but I always give pretty much to the same place  So I was wondering if you'd like to share some places you give to?  Maybe it will help some of us to see some new charities that deserve our support.

So I usually give to my local Salvation Army (https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/) and the American Red Cross (https://www.redcross.org).

Those are great!  I also like to buy bulk jersey gloves and hand them out in person to homeless people in the winter or bring a bag to the Union Gospel Mission (https://www.uniongospelmission.org) or an equivalent.

Other charities I have given to are...

St. Jude Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) supports children and their families with illnesses.

Shriner's Hospitals For Children (https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/give/145680/?msclkid=19c55bdc271c1ba384ec0636ca5c4109#!/donation/checkout?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=drtv&c_src=bing&c_src2=loveshriners) supports children and their families with illnesses.

Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.uniongospelmission.org) to help wounded soldiers and their families.

National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund (https://nleomf.org) supports families of fallen police officers.

National Fallen Firefighters Fund (https://www.firehero.org) supports families of fallen firefighters.

Gary Sinise Foundation (https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/veterans-charity-overview/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=garysinise&msclkid=da5f620878601a9a56d33fe295e06af1) Supports families and the children of fallen soldiers[/url].

Those are the main ones from me.

One that should be mentioned as well is one everyone also knows.  The Ronald McDonald Foundation (https://www.rmhc.org). :)   They do a ton of good that people don't even realize.

Great list so far everyone. :)  I hope someone can find something new here.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America (https://www.bgca.org) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (https://www.bbbs.org) are also both good charities. :) I also really like the Make-a-Wish Foundation (http://wish.org).  And how can we forget the YMCA (https://www.ymca.net)
