MLP:FiM - "On Your Marks" is the 121st episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It will premier April 9th, 2016. It is written by Dave Polsky.
-
I label this episode, one of the show's most definitive episodes so far on the CMC. Wonderful work.
-
The whole episode sums up to purpose and the loss of childhood. Things were so simple when we were young. Things were black and white, good and bad, sweet or sour.
You can see as they get older, things are more complicated and the simplicities of the world become more gray.
-
Oh and we also learned Applebloom is allergic to bee's.
-
Not to forget, Tree Hugger poses nude for artists, and we get Berry stepping on grapes. ;) WINE!
-
So think how many years ago we started the CMC story... 2012? Wow. No, even further back, 2010! WOW! SIX YEARS in the making and we have no come full circle to this. They started trying to get their cutie marks, to know actually helping others.
I will agree this episode showed us a transition from childhood to maybe a era of more responsibility. Were things are not always as they seem and more difficult to comprehend. Pretty good meaning to this episode. It seemed long too.
Was that new male pone named, Tender Taps or Hoofer Steps? We also saw Bulk Biceps speak a bunch in this episode and tons of new scenery and backgrounds.
-
I liked this episode! It's also kinda like... it kinda like tackles, of course, a bit of friendship problems too. Almost growing apart in a sense.
I gotta say though, they did some fancy stuff with scenery in this episode. Especially that shot of AppleBloom on that steep ass bridge.

Totally, growing up things become more complicated. You deal with losing friends you thought you would never lose. It's sad.
-
Why was that bridge so steep? WHY? No guard rails!!!
-
I guess I'm not the only one who noticed about the bridge. ::)
I liked this episode. I swear, S6 is off to a good start.
We'll see what the other 22 episodes will be like. ;)
Also, that scene with Bulk Biceps. XDDD
-
Yeah, the scene with the bridge was new as was the river rafting scene. We also got some new angles in the tree house, plus some fancy effects when Bulk Biceps was breaking the floor planks.
-
I enjoyed finally hearing more of Bulk Biceps. He isn't the brightest bulb, but he seems nice enough, and wouldn't harm a fly intentionally.
That bridge was ridiculously too high.
-
So you guys think the bridge is too steep, but the scooter course, Scootaloo made didn't raise any eyebrows to anyone? ;) Really?

No, all good with that. ;)
-
Scooter track was just fine. ;)
Yeah, growing apart from your friends is sadly a fact of life. Whatever happened to Babs Seed? They sort of forgot about her. She even got her cutie mark? Shouldn't they let her in on the CMC's new deal? Oh yeah, thats right, Bab's isn't one of the core CMC and doesn't deserve to do what the main CMC does. ;)

Well, it's a scooter course, not a bridge meant for everyone to cross in safety. ;)

For the most part, this season is starting out strong.
-
I still haven't seen even episode 1 or 2 yet. School...why...I need to seriously just take an hour today or an hour tomorrow and just sit down and watch some episodes. I've gotten more stuff done this week with school than I have in weeks before, but I seriously just need to calm down and relax with watching episodes of something...
Anyway, based on what the comments are, did someone die? Or is it a life lesson kind of episode?

THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE!!! I've felt that the last 6 years of my young adulthood life. Feels are real. Even during my young teenage years up til I was a Jr. in high school, my life pretty much was black and white, good/bad, all that stuff. Adulthood is a curious thing....curious indeed. Not everything is black or white, and decisions become part of our lives. Gray is a good word to describe morals these days too. Every decision has some good, some bad. All I can do is try the best I can :)

This was a good episode. I felt this feeling right away i remembered from my past that i didnt like. The loss of innocense and childhood. I hated that, and i felt the feels Apple Bloom... Applebloom, was feeling. It stinks when that happens, especially when you feel like the only one who cares and everyone else just moves on. Who here still has friends from elementary school, ones they actually meet with regularly. I would bet not many.

You put it together pretty well, Grapefoot. Seems to be a running theme.
THIS (https://i.gyazo.com/f7a5be3ff8d15bec719b939c1766fd25.jpg) scene made me feel dirty. I mean, they are pulling off their clothes to show their flanks...

Much better than last weeks, good ep.

Like this. {img}http://imageurl{.img} Replace the period with a /. Replace the { and } with [ and ].

FWIW, [nobbc] tags let you escape a block of BBC tags. e.g.:

Oh, cool.
-
So overall, this was a good episode, and the community seemed to enjoy it too. Great! :D
-
Apparently since the girls got their marks, CMC meetings have simply degenerated into a lot of navel-gazing-- er, butt-gazing.
I enjoyed finally hearing more of Bulk Biceps. He isn't the brightest bulb, but he seems nice enough, and wouldn't harm a fly intentionally.
He's pretty good with his hooves, it seems... he later gets a job as a masseuse in the day spa. I bet the mares love his work. Although, if the Crusaders suggest he teach other Ponies to lift things, why not become a gym teacher or an aerobics instructor or something?
That bridge was ridiculously too high.
Yeah, the rickety old bridge over the yawning chasm is so ubiquitous to adventure stories it has its own trope (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RopeBridge). Well, at least they didn't look over and spot a sturdier structure newly-erected just a few yards away which they could have used instead....

8/10.
