I just don't feel invested in Pinkie's struggles.  There is no depth to the characters to give me reason to care.

So yeah, this was a better episode than the previous, but still nothing superb.  It was quite pointless overall.  But there is an ongoing story arc, though very weak of one.  Pinkie Pie is sort of the MAIN character in Pony Life having the most stories and a weak, albeit a story arc.
