MLP:FiM - "No Second Prances" is the 123rd episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. (Can you believe that?!) It will premier April 30th, 2016.
Starlight Glimmer finds a new friend, but when the time comes to share it with Twilight, it isn't all as good as Starlight had hoped.
PREVIEW
-
The preview got me pretty excited.
Maybe a certain someone won't be reformed after all. The title implies that.
-
Seems odd that they're playing Trixie as malevolent considering how they tried to show her as not a bad person in her last episode. Like what the hell, why does she sound so bitter and mean here?
-
That's what I was wondering. ??? She was clearly sorry for her actions, last time we saw her, so why turn that around? :o
Oh well. I know that a lot of people thought Trixie would be in this episode. Looks like they were right. I expect something great. ;D
-
Maybe it's more from Twilight's POV and at the end of the episode they'll be a bunch of scenes we revisit and see it was just bad lighting or bias.
-
Ehhhh, I don't think so. Twilight clearly forgave her and then shook her head in that "Oh you" kind of way. She obviously held no ill feelings towards her. I just feel this is a step backward made just to make a conflict because the writers were too lazy to make a new character. Or just a blatant case of fan pandering because a large number of bronies seem to have an infatuation with Trixie.
But I don't know. Only way to see how this plays out is by watching the episode. Which I won't, until I caught up.
-
Why did people think Trixie would be in this episode? Without reading the synopsis, how did they even know?
Changed the official post to correct release date.
-
But it was when the synopsis was revealed that they started assuming this.
"When Starlight Glimmer starts becoming friends with a fellow formerly-bad pony, Twilight tries to stop her."
And I don't know of any other "formerly-bad pony". ;)
Anyway, a hiatus? Awww... :-\ At least, it's a small one.
-
Our synopsis is special and unique. ;)
-
Lets not forget. STARLIGHT GLIMMER. This was here at one point (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdS7NF_6omc). As nice as she seems now, don't forget what is really in her still. She tried to KILL other ponies.
-
She has the ability to be messed up and evil, but you could also view it as a frightened mechanisms to hide her of her own insecurities.
-
She's a lot like Sunset Shimmer in that regard. Though from what I've observed, Sunset's redemption was done a lot better. Her still having trouble and stuff. I can't judge yet though, haven't watched the finale still.

The season 5 MLP:FiM one? Oooh, I would definitely recommend it. :) It was the angriest I've seen MLP characters in awhile.
-
Yeah, I've heard it's amazing.
-
I might actually watch it again. Watching the clip above, got me into it. Starlight is a very diverse character and you appreciate her more, and realize her capabilities more in season 5 finale. :) It would be an episode to get you all caught up for 6. :)
-
Starlight as a character has got me more and more interested lately. While I think I like Sunset Shimmer more, Starlight is becoming far more interesting. She was far more evil, and now she is... just good?
-
That just feels weird. And she acts very nice in that preview. It's odd. With Sunset you see her struggle with being a good friend and keeping herself contained.
-
Starlight seems to fake sometimes in her niceness, though in the season 6 premier, they did a stellar job at showing her varied emotions.
-
Looks like another boring episode
-
Boring? Well, I wouldn't go saying that. It could be interesting, but it could also be stupid and full of OOC moments.
-
Looks pretty good to me. The teaser has me interested more then most.
-
I really look forward to watching it. :)

I really look forward to watching it. :)
*Shakes you in excitement.* That's the spirit!
-
*dizzy and shaken up* I got the MLP spirit... *faints*
-
Thats all it took to make you conk out? You got to work on that, Numbers. ;)
*Helps you up and dusts you off.*
-
*coming around* What can I say, I can't stand being shaken...
I expect the episode to be an "8/10".
I'm sure it's gonna be good, but not "10/10" good. Can't expect a miracle. ;)
-
Well hopefully this episode SHAKES US to the core. ;)
-
This episode's preview had me pretty excited. I know everyone is diff tho...
-
Great episode. 9/10. :D
Seeing Celestia annoyed, was pretty funny. ;D
-
I liked the episode. It was real enjoyable!
-
Wow, high praise for this episode! Can't wait to watch it!
-
Applejack made a face that I often make to my BF when angry XD I haven't watched it yet, but my BF sent me a screenshot of it saying that's the face I make.
-
Okay i will watch this today. Should be fun.
-
This episode made it very clear that their is guilt in Starlight Glimmer... and that she still has evil inside her. AWESOME episode. Some pretty mature views expressed for a kids show.
-
It would seem the Princess of Friendship has much to learn. She preaches, but doesn't exactly follow her own mantra all the time, and she really screwed things up here. Not gonna talk about the ending.
-
I wonder if this means we will see Trixie more? I can also see this building up to a new series. A NEW Series starring Starlight Glimmer and her cast of friends she is going to build. Interesting thought. Wonder if it is possible?
-
I loved the episode. I feel it was all things done right when the writing staff is running on all cylinders. Terrific. I need to know who the writer was.
-
This episode pulled in nearly 300,000 viewers.
The previous episode, "Gauntlet of Fire" did horrible, one of the worst, with only 196,000 viewers on tv.
-
This episode might be a metaphor for how reformed criminals or recovering addicts, who know what the pain of poor choices and addiction is like, often form support networks and help one another. Twilight has her reasons to suspect Trixie, I suppose, but maybe she could be good for Starlight. All we need is Gilda, Queen Chrysalis, a couple of Diamond Dogs, and a Flim-Flam brother, to join up, and I think we can qualify for the CelestiaCare discount on group therapy.
-
Huh... That is a very interesting theory. It makes sense. And shit, that's a good fic idea too. Damn man, why don't you write fanfiction :P
-
I loved this episode when I watched it and according to my little notebook here, I gave it a very strong 9/10.

10/10.

This episode made me so giddy. I loved Twi's lackluster excitement about learning that Starlight's new friend is Trixie! Cute and really good episode. Good character depth!
-
I absolutely love how happy Starlight is about revealing Trixie. Princess of friendship could use some extra teaching. ;) 9.
