Title: My Little Pony in hiding, how about some pepper! (F)
Post by: Daphine on 2021-04-20 20:37:59
A special gift for all of my new friends on the PSF Forum.  I hope you enjoy it  .

Rarity was working late one night in her shop the Carousel Boutique when she heard some noise coming from the front part of the shop.  At first she thought it was Spike stopping by for a late night visit.  Occasionally he would do this, hoping he could convince his long time crush to take a romantic walk in the moonlight with him.
Rarity opened the door to the front of the shop a crack, just enough so she could peak through and see what was going on.  All she could make out was a couple of other pony's dressed all in black searching the front room. Suddenly she heard one of them speak, "it’s not here. Her secret designs must be in the back room". A wave of fear crashed over Rarity as she saw the two dark figures heading for the door that she was just behind. Quickly she went into the first display case in her shop and took the place of one of the manikins. Right then she saw the door open and the two figures walk in. Rarity stood as still as possible as she watched the two figures start to go through all of her files.  Suddenly Anthony, a new character to the my little pony universe appeared just above Rarity.  He looked down into her display and saw her hiding. “Hey little pony” he said in a mischievous sounding voice, “how about some pepper?” With that he took out a small pepper shaker and began to sprinkle it down onto Rarity’s  nose. Quickly her body was covered in a thin layer of sweat. Her heart began to pound in her chest as she could feel a ticklish sensation come over her nose. Pepper the poor pony thought to her self. Not pepper that will make me sneeze! Rarity could feel her eyes begin to tear up as the tingling in her nostrils became much more intense. Sweat beaded up on her forehead and began to run into her eyes. Anthony looked down enjoying all of the ponies growing sneezy misery. Rarity’s nostrils began to flare and twitch.  The more her nostrils flared the more the pepper was able to float deeper into her nasal cavities.  This caused the pony’s nose to begin to run. Rarity’s  eyelids began to hover halfway open as her lower jaw began to fall slack. Helpless against it she began to feel her chest expander as she began to draw in more and more air. She could feel a powerful sneeze beginning to grow. She fought against her sneeze with every ounce of her being but her need to sneeze was way too powerful. Ahh, AHHH, AHHH. Rarity's building sneeze became audible. The two intruders stopped what they were doing to listen. “Do you hear that” the one said to the other.  The other pony replied “it sounds like somebody is in here and that somebody needs to sneeze !” At this point Rarity couldn’t take anymore. Her nostrils flared as wide as possible while her nose dripped. Finally her eyes closed tight as her nose burst with a powerful sneeze giving her away AA, AACHOOOOW!

There are so many new topics on PSF today, I'm getting lost on where to post. :D That is a good problem to have though, lol!  Hey thanks, Daphine! :D  Nice too see something like this.  You went out of your way to do this and try something new for the community.  I personally really appreciate that and I know others do too.  You scored some PSF points with this, lol.

What a strong and ferocious reaction Rarity had too!  Thats the best part.

I just wanted to say thank you to anyponedrawn, Silverwing, timmelon, Soda, Wolfwood, MasterXtreme and of course my dear kiku ;D.

I'm so happy you all enjoyed my work.  Since this was my first time drawing Rarity or any pony I really wasn't sure how it would turn out :(.  Even after I was done I had no idea if it was any good.  I want to thank RainySunshine for first given me the idea to try and draw new charactor's in my own sneezy style.  If it wasn't for there comment back on my    Re: New sneezy Scooby Doo drawing. Scooby trying to save Daphne! (M) post I wouldn't have tried my hand at Maximus, Maximus the horse gets a ticklish nasal smear test (M) or Rarity.  I drew both of these because I thought you would enjoy Rarity & Maximus because they are both horses.

I do have a quick question.  I know that people enjoy my attempt at artwork :)) but how many stick around to read the story I write to go with the drawing?  Last night I noticed that quite a few people commented on this drawing before I even finished the story.  That was my fault.  I'm back to using my backup laptop computer because my other one is in the shop again.  Long story

I think it varies. Most people come to the artwork section probably just for the art.  Though I am sure some also read the content, but don't always comment.  The artwork section of this website historically always gets way more comment and feedback then the writing section.  It's a shame, because the writers don't get the kudos and feedback they deserve for their work.

That said, PSF still often provides more feedback to the writers than most other forums, which is quite shocking.  We think there isn't enough here, but there is less feedback on other competitive sites much larger than PSF.

You're welcome!  Thanks for taking that leap.  It's honestly kind of scary sometimes trying something new, especially if you worry about others opinions on what you do. Honestly, just have fun, don't worry what others think. :D  Thanks for sharing!

And yes, to answer your question, I do read them.  Thanks for sharing BOTH your talents, writing and drawing. :D

You are right, I do worry about what people think about my work and I should just try and have fun.  When I draw a comic or write a story I almost always work on something that I enjoy or something for lack of a better phrase "turns me on".  That's why works like this past one was a little difficult for me to do so I hope that I did do a good job.  I really did want to do something nice for all of my new friends here on PSF.

Nice new cartoon!  This Anthony guy sounds like a real badie!

I was going to use my own personal favorite bad guy ( or girl ) agent Sonya but I honestly wasn't sure how well that would go over on here so I decided to try someone new!

I'd say use any characters you like.  I personally think it's fun to use YOUR creativity and not base it on what others may perceive. :D Do what YOU want to do.  Sonya would be interesting in this (or any other character).  You'd have to explain how she fits in their world and Scooby's world, lol!  Maybe it's just a giant Daphine Universe filled with any characters from anything she see's fit. :D

Have you considered making your own comic series with your characters you create and use from other media?  Or do you prefer more of these one-off type comics?  I'm imagining you using your creativity and creating your own little sneeze comic series of Scooby in adventures trying to beat the bad guys and trying to get out of sneezy situations.  You seem to have some sort of world building in your head to some degree with all this, but a lot isn't translated onto paper, with more being in your head still.  I'm curious what kind of ideas you have in your noggin, lol.

I have to admit I find it VERY interesting how @Rainberry and @Grapefoot both seam to have the same idea and it's an idea I have never really had :-0.  I must admit that I'm a little bit out of the loop when it comes to this kind of material.  For starts what exactly is a one-off type comics?  I think I know what it is but I would like to hear your definition.  I'm not sure if you two (or anyone else) saw the Scooby Doo comic book I made back in college.  It was only five pages long but it was more of an experiment for me at the time.
A few years back right before I took my four year sabbatical from the community I was working on trying to design my own cartoon character.  I planned on it being a version of Scooby Doo only he walked upright.  His name was Patrick and he would ware clothes but no shoes.  He was a student at University of Buffalo, GO BULLS! His head and face was very similar to Scooby's especially his big sensitive nose ;D.  I didn't give him to much thought except that he was one of a kind.  There were no other upright walking dogs on campus let alone the world.  Because of this he was well liked because who doesn't like dogs but he was also an outcast.  Female dogs with masters and who walked on leashes didn't know what to make of him and female humans thought he was cute and loveable but what would there friends and family think if they saw them out with him.  Beyond that I didn't give Patrick and his world to much thought.
I REALLY liked how both of you talked about me having my own little universe created ( I REALLY liked how you phrased it @Rainberry  ;D).  As for what you said @Grapefoot "You seem to have some sort of world building in your head" and I really laughed out load  :)) when I read "I'm curious what kind of ideas you have in your noggin".  To answer that, yes I do have my own little world going on in my noggin :)).  Lets call it the Daphineverse!  I know very original ;D.  It's a world that I created over all these years and I LOVE to visit it at night before bed or even during the day when I need to escape.  It is a universe that I feel would really freak most people out, even members of this community :(.  That is why I have always wondered how well a cartoon series would work if I was to draw it.
I don't mean to make a fun post suddenly become all deep and dark but have you ever thought this!  Outside of yourself do you ever really know anyone?  We know the side they want us to know but for the most part we don't really know what is going on in there head.  I used to think about that a lot when I would be lying in bed with my ex-boyfriend Patrick.  Yes that is not a coincidence with the name of my Scooby type cartoon charactor  ;D.  Anyway I would think what would go through his mind if I ever invited him into the Daphineverse :-0.

I would say a "one off" comic is just a comic you randomly make with no real depth beyond what is presented.  The creator might have more depth in their head, but beyond what is shown in the single comic, the readers only have so much information.  A one off comic is also a comic that has no continuing story or characters that reappear in a set of other comics that are designated within it's "universe."

Personally, I'd love to see what you come up with.  The most successful art topics on this forum are all original comic series.  Look at Adorkable Twilight And Friends, the topic has like 80,000 views!  Lol!

Outside of yourself do you ever really know anyone?  We know the side they want us to know but for the most part we don't really know what is going on in there head.

I have thought about this and I am sure most have.  We can claim to be authentic, but we all hide something behind a facade.

But how I see it, more of that facade is revealed on forums like this, because we are behind computer screens, we can share more of our INNER self that we would be afraid to share with others in person (and maybe even those we call friends or love).  On a forum, nothing can really happen.  At the worst someone says something bad... but... who cares? :D Lol!  A forum (this community) has allowed me to be more free than I can be in real life.  I love it, and it allows me to take more chances then I would in real life.

So if you wanna draw a comic you've had in your head since college, HELL, do it!!

I was reading a topic that could only be talked about on a sneeze forum with sneeze fetishists.  They were talking about animal sneezes and how they were of interest, but they didn't personally LIKE animals in ya know... that kind of way, but they could appreciate the sneeze the animal was having.  Putting almost human emotion on it.  That isn't something you could easily talk about with another sneeze fetishist in person, let alone a random friend, lol.  Forums are liberating.

A one off comic is just a sporadic comic that doesn't necessarily connect to others released.

You definitely got ideas going on up there you want to share.

OK, that's what I thought a One Off comic was.  That is pretty much exactly what I do now!  Honestly I have no idea how someone write's or draws a comic beyond a One Off and would anyone what to see the dead air between my next sneezy Scooby situation.  Maybe they would!  I just don't have a lot of faith in myself :(

It's funny that you brought up  Adorkable Twilight And Friends @Bumble because that was exactly what I was thinking about!  I have been following that link for a while and it really is amazing the way that has really taken off.  I'm once again not sure that a comic about Scooby Doo or a charactor like Scooby Doo could have that same kind of effect?

What you said Bumble, more of that facade is revealed on forums!  I'm walking proof of that  ;D.  Funny thing is what happened to me on the Blue Forum and that really REALLY hurt me and caused me to take a four year break from the community in some ways has only caused me to come back stronger than before.  It also could be this community!  PSF has really given me a safe place to explore myself like never before.  I have also made some great friends like kiku that have really been wonderful ;D.  Just like you said Bumble "(this community) has allowed me to be more free than I can be in real life.  I love it, and it allows me to take more chances then I would in real life."

I really had to laugh at your last comment @Bumble only because that has always been a big fear of mine.  That people would confuse my feelings for Scooby Doo as that I have those kinds of feels for real dog sneezing.  That was one of the things that was said abought me on the Blue forum causing me to leave :(.  Strangely a few months back I was searching the internet for the word "sneeze" and I came across a post on Instagram about a model who has a large German Shepard as a pet.  In a very short post she talked about how her poor dogs allergies were acting up and how he had been sneezing all day  ;D.  She mentioned how her dog was her family and her boyfriend with a laugh so she was happy to baby him while he felt so terrible.  At the end she mentioned how his big sneezes were adorable  ;D.  Suddenly I found myself wishing she would post some pictures or even a video of him sneezing.  Her dog is just so big and cute.  Anyway it was the first time I EVER aloud myself to feel that way about a real dogs sneeze, not just a cartoon canine :-[.

You are right in the first part @Silverwing I do have some crazy idea's going on up there in my "noggin ;D".  It's the second part I'm not sure about.  I'm not sure if I'm ready to share them.  As much as I said I have expanded my courage  ;D in my reply to @Bumble post I'm still not sure if I'm ready to make that leap.  Maybe I can find some middle ground that I haven't already covered!

@Daphine , I know what you mean about this community here allowing us to talk freely about things we would never talk about to anybody outside this forum. It's really good to have a place like this, and I'm very grateful to our admins for creating a home for us. And I'm very happy too that we've become friends, @Daphine !  :)

I can totally relate to what you wrote about the girl with the allergic sneezy dog on Instagram. Sometimes I'm not really sure what to make of my own feelings, and I get insecure. And then I start worrying about what people might think of me, even here in the forum. That's why I didn't have the courage (yet?) to post anything in the animal-sneeze-topic.

Anyway, keep up the great work, and share your comics with us, no matter if they are one-off or a series!  :)

Others already explained "one off" comics well enough, so I will just let that be my answer too.

I wouldn't look too far into it.  We as humans all have feelings and thoughts that aren't considered "normal" or fit into the norms of society.  Most of us keep is repressed deep inside us, lol. But I honestly wouldn't worry.  We sometimes can't explain the things we like.

I remember when I was a little tiny kid, I had some weird obsession with fire hydrants.  I don't know why... but my Mom would always tell me when I was a toddler I loved them and ran up to them trying to open them.  Its embarrassing now, and I have no idea what I was thinking as a kid.  We can't explain it.  It just is what it is.

I can thankfully say, I don't try to open fire hydrants anymore. ;)

@kiku ,  very well said and I couldn't agree more.  We should all be very grateful to the admins of this forum for creating a place were we all can come to, to better explore our individual interests in sneezing ;D.  Speaking from experience, it's easy to take this for granted.  After my experience on the blue forum I learned how important it is for someone like myself who's interests are a little different than that of the average sneeze fetishist to have a place were I feel safe!
I didn't even know that there was a thread started talking about animal sneezes until I read about it on here last night.  Regardless I haven't even tried to find it yet :(.  Trust me, it's not because I'm judging anyone.  As I just mentioned above regarding what happened on the blue forum to me, subjects like that hit to close to home.  That's why I keep flip flopping on that instagram post I mentioned.  I keep going back and forth on wishing she would have posted a video of her dog sneezing.  One hour I wish I could have seen it and the next I'm glad that I wasn't able to.  Regardless @kiku I'm with you.  I just don't have the courage to post anything in that subject (yet) and I might never have that courage.  I just don't know.

And that is understandable.  Protect what you want to protect.  If you aren't ready, there is no pressure or rush to go out and present yourself.

@Rainberry, thank you for what you said but also thank you for your support regarding my writing ;D.  It really means alot to me that you and others have such a strong belief in me!

I'm glad it was helpful for you Daph.  We all have 'skeletons' in our closet.  Some are just creepier than others.  Some are more accepted than others.  Ideas considered radical in the past now are not in some cases.  The same will be true for now.
