Christmas in May!

This was a good episode. Like... REAL good. I always liked interpretations of A Christmas Carol, and this one was pretty good!
My only negative I have with this is how abrupt it kinda was with the final spirit, but hey when an episode is only like.... 22 minutes long, I spose that's gonna happen.
-
I'm hearing a lot of positive stuff for this episode. I will watch it probably tomorrow when I have some time off. :)
-
Oh, well too bad that everything we were saying is an absolute lie. We hate the episode and it's horrible.

Just finished watching it. In my honest opinion, this episode was one of the best. ;D

This was a very good episode. :)
What did you all like about it?
-
Before we go into the goods of this episode, which there are many, I will say a negative.
WHY DID THIS PREMIER IN MAY? Why not... oh.... you know.... around Christmas? Lol!
-
It feels like they used fear tactics to get the message across to Starlight that friends are what you need.
-
It was actually rather darker then I thought. There has been a lot more "EVIL" or sinister moments in MLP as of late. Starlight Glimmer really can turn evil when she needs too. That beginning song with her was sinister!
Lots of fancy animation tricks in this episode and mucho shading.

A very cute episode. :) Luna's legs were ver tall. ;)
I sum up how cute this episode is with this Derpy pic.

Absolutely adorbs.

I love that screen cap of Derps-muh-gurps! :D Such a cute episode overall.
I feel that episode could have been better at 45 mins. ;)

Derps-muh-gurps! :D
Correction, what you just said was cute. :)
-
It was a highly enjoyable episode. I wish it was longer. I would have made it an hour long Christmas special. Or at least 45 mins.
-
I really loved it. Nice little take on Christmas Carol. Even if its the middle of May.
-
Guess I'll be the outlier here. I didn't like it. Awkward dialog, fanfic-level ponified plagiarism, just overall uninspired writing. Meh. Airing way off from the intended season didn't help either, though that's external to the episode's quality.
-
Nah your not the only one, I didn't like it too much either.
-
I liked the episode. But I won't praise it for any originality. The story has been done about a million times over, and it takes very little creativity to move characters into a role for the story.
But still, I enjoyed the episode.
-
Maybe it is because I am a sucker for Christmas and Christmas themed episodes. I liked it and I enjoyed their take on "A Christmas Story." I liked how evil, Starlight came across as when she sang her diddy.

That is fair enough. I can get on board with that.

A few amusing bits, like the Sevarious Snape Pony, Derpy's disasterous tree-decorating skills, and Spike flat calling out Starlight Glimmer on her hypocrisy, but overall a just a cute bit of harmless fluff, not much more substance than your average holiday fruitcake.

8/10. I really liked this Christmas episode. It was cute.

8/10.

It was a weird time to release this episode, but I very much like it. Nice take on a Christmas classic. 8.

It was a pretty fun episode overall. I liked it. I think it could have benefitted being longer, like a Christmas special. It wouldn't have felt so rushed. 8.
