TEASER: (SPOILER WARNING)
-
Well then, we FINALLY! Get some more info on Fluttershy's family.
-
I'm actually excited to see this. I want to know Flutter's familia.
-
I'm pretty pumped to see this episode. It's a subject kids probably wouldn't get. Perfect!

I wonder if he is a complete freeloader who needs to be kicked out on the curb! I can't wait.
-
My guess is, he's even more anxious and timid than Fluttershy, to the point where he's afraid to even go out... which is a real, and very sad, disorder.
-
I'm gonna guess he isn't afraid or timid. My guess is he has many "ideas" but never follows through. He is a dreamer, not a doer.
-
I look forward to it. This show has been on a roll this season.
-
Freeloader he is
-
Hmmm, kinda reminds me of the stereotypical brony. Lives with their parents in the basement and doesn't do anything with their life. Just a mooching freeloader. I'd die if they went that route just to poke fun at bronies.
-
The whole episode is made to make fun of us. :D
-
Can't be worse than when Bob's Burgers did it.
-
Just finished it. Was good. :D
I do believe Fluttershy's brother is convinced RD likes him. ;)

Just like how many bronies delude themselves into thinking they'd have a chance with RD.
And Kryl, did you not like the episode Bob's Burgers did? I thought it was a riot.
-
I'm okay with Zephyr existing. I just am not a fan of his freeloader thinks he's always right, attitude.
-
Episode was alright :)
-
Everyone hates people like that.
Unfortunately, there's a good amount of people like that. Including this fandom. And many others.
I think the writer did too good a job of making us hate Fluttershy's brother.
-
Oh no I loved the Bobs Burgers. Hell I loved when Howard Stern interviewed bronies and made fun of them for 20 minutes.
This was an ok episode, nice to see more parents and family.
-
Can't be worse than when Bob's Burgers did it.
What did Bob's Burgers do? I have not seen that episode yet I guess.
-
I really liked the episode. A solidly good 8/10. :)
I am kind of surprised by the subject matter of the episode. Rather . . . "non children." They even said, PEEVED. I didn't know that was okay to say in kids shows. Loved how Zephyr totally was crushing on Rainbow Dash and how Flutter's parents thought Dash had a crush on their son. ;)
Loved Fluttershy a lot more in this episode.
-
This episode didn't really feel like it belonged to a "kids show".
"You have to move out" is not a sentence often heard in those.
-
Peeved isn't a bad word though.
It just means like, annoyed or something. Even Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends were supposed to use that word had not Bloo's VA thought the script said "pissed him off" instead of "peeved him off".
-
I just finished watching the episode. Kinda hits a little hard at home. It also reminds me of a lot of what one of my irl friends has told me about his brother, except uh... this is obv more tame.
I really liked this episode though. It was also really nice hearing Flutters have a stern tone to her voice, I REALLY liked that.
-
You liked that eh, big boy?
-
This didn't seem like an episode that would be in a kids show let alone the message. I REALLY enjoyed this and I think I like this writer. They also did "Newbie Dash" which was kind of a different subject matter to deal with. Both more adult topics and episodes he's written.
I like a more stern Flutters too. Her parents, I see where Flutters got her attitude from of being shy. But stern Flutter is a good Flutter.
-
Personally, I thought it was a great episode. This situations are hard to deal with, and I hope we hear from this loaf again sometime.
I liked Fluttershy's mane all ruffled up by her bro too.
-
Cute pictures time!

Oh, sorry, 1234. I forgot how you have issues around "too cute" sometimes. ;)
-
No problem. XD
-
The second pic on the top row is the cutest.

The second pic on the top row is the cutest.
110% agreed. :D I really liked this episode. This season is seriously awesome. Best season of the show so far, and we are about halfway into this season.
Has season 7 been confirmed... or is.... is this it?
-
Hmm, as long as Hasbro is still having good toy sell rates the show will probably still continue.
The show is just one long toy commercial. The difference is this time people actually care about making it good.
-
That is the scary part. We are well into this show's life cycle. Over 128 episodes. That is enough for most shows, but this show is truly getting better this season with more depth.
It has not been confirmed of season 7 yet. Ratings are stable, but down this year. Many blame the new channel not being well know like the Hub had finally started gaining some traction.
-
I am just worried Hasbro will think they'd done the show justice with so many episodes, and see toy sales are good enough that the show isn't needed. I mean, lets be realistic. There are enough episodes here, plus a movie coming, they can do re-runs for years and probable sell just as many toys.
-
I think a lot of work is being done on the movie. Season 7, WHEN announced, will be a shorter season.
-
Hmm, usually new seasons are announced early on.
If they haven't announced anything... The movie might be the grand finale.

I hope the movie isn't the grand finale.
Though since this is "My Little Pony: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC" they can always use the same character designs and world but follow a different set of characters. Name it something else, like "My Little Pony: Something else."
Maybe have it follow an older CMC or some totally new characters, or LYRA and something.
-
Cameos of the original mane 6 would be cool.
Follow Starlight Glimmer? Sunset Shimmer coming back??? TRIXIE?
-
There is a ton they could do.
-
Keep that gravy train going with a whole new cast of lovable character, depth, good writing.
-
I'd be ok if the movie was the finale. I'd rather ponies end on a bang than overstay its welcome.
-
What Kryl said. I'd prefer them to go out strong rather than it slowly start sucking and becoming bad and leaving badly.
Honestly, if they followed other character people would be butt hurt about them not being how the fandom envisioned them.
-
I would rather have them follow other characters then sucking the life out of the Mane 6.
Though this season, in my humble opinion, we are seeing the prime of these characters. We've led up to these moments, the pinnacle and peaks of these characters. So we may have reached the end of their stories, at least for us the viewer.
-
I think the writer did too good a job of making us hate Fluttershy's brother.
Yeah... did his voice remind anyone else of the gay black dude from Mannequin? And ... mane-styling? What are they implying...? ( a la Jerry Seinfeld) Not that there;'s anything wrong with that.
Zephyr seems to be a parody of the millennial culture's "failure to launch" problem. It is a real concerm, coupled with the high schools and colleges failing our young people and Generation X becoming a bunch of meek, enabling parents.
I figured he'd have a hellacious crush on Rainbow Dash... but they hadda go with the obnoxious pervy approach instead of the quiet, shy, and unrequited love.
-
Generation X is ages ahead of the Millenials. That next generation is as scary as it can get for the most part.
-
What was with Zephyr's hair by the way? Was it like a mop? And I can't imagine Fluttershy's parents naming him such a radical name.
-
It looked a bit... ethnic to me.

^ Oh, interesting.
I have no idea what he hair was, but when he did that hairstyle on Flutters, it actually looked okay.
-
What, dreads? Like dreadlocks?
-
What, dreads? Like dreadlocks?
He had something going on there that looks similar, but I don't think it was dreadlocks.
-
I think his hair was just really like, and instead of it just flowing down, he bunned it into a sloppy man-bun. So it's all nasty, greasy, and gross.
-

How will they advertise their latest overpriced recolors if the show goes full re-runs? And it's not just toys; there's distribution of the shows, franchised merch, the comics, books, etc, etc. MLP is their main cash cow, I don't think they'll cancel it as long as it's doing so much to hold up the company. They're not even trying to keep it strictly to the pre-teen audience anymore, as this episode helps demonstrate, and they're notoriously reticent to change a working formula. As long as it's doing its job, I figure if anything they'll want to keep expanding it. Barring some major shake-up in management, anyway.
I like a more stern Flutters too.
S-same.
-
I think it is good MLP is the big fish in a small pond (Discovery Family). I really hope they keep it going because I feel these new writers are given a lot more leeway to write more adult things, which I enjoy more.
Though it seems overly expensive to create, produce, and make a show just to sell some toys.... I mean it seems like a quick easy thing to axe and still sell toys with some good tv ads.
-
I liked this episode. I thought it was great to see a sleaze bag like Fluttershy' brother and see how she dealt with him. There are all too many people like him, so this is a very relatable episode.
9/10.

And my score to go with this. 9/10.
-
I really liked this episode a lot for some reason when it came out. Maybe it's because we learned more about Fluttershy too. I like how she tried to help this loser in life. 9.
-
It was a pretty fun episode to see how Fluttershy would respond to Zephyr's stupidity and laziness. I liked stern Flutters. 8.
