4 mutant anthropomorphic turtles who were trained in the ways if ninja combat by a mutant rat in the sewers of New York City. It's an insane idea but it took off and became a huge cash raker in the 80's and 90's. Toys, comics, TV shows, and of course, movies. The most recent motion picture was released just this past weekend and I decided to see it. And I was surprised on how much more fun it was than the previous film in this series. I honestly wasn't expecting it seeing as how this has Michael Bay's fingerprints on it but I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
What about you guys? Are any others out there ninja turtle fans?
-
I found them obnoxious then, and still do. :)
-
First Michael Bay film sucked. And the designs are horrible. Not giving this new one a chance, trailers kinda really sucked. Though I might get dragged to see it again since it seems the family I'm staying withs daughter wants to go see it.
I'll stick to their 2K3 and 2K13 versions. Best versions of their characters all all the reincarnations.

Alopex is cute?

The new turtle designs for this latest movie are seriously what nightmares are made of. They are hideous looking. We're on a website with a large fandom of technicolor ponies! We want something that looks pleasing!
-
The trailers look pretty bad for the new one.
-
This newest movie was actually a HUGE improvement over the previous one.
-
Hey, mulch is a huge improvement over cow shit, doesn't mean it smells any better :P
-
Maybe the Nostalgia Critic will review this one too then
-
Hm maybe. I loved his review of the first one. Was great.
-
Could you get past their ugly faces?
-
I guess, but even then the humor and stuff is just ugh.
I guess the action scenes in the first movie were okay, but that was cuz they barely talked.
-
I could get past their faces. They look enough like turtles to me.
-
I mean, like I said, if I could, which I was able to for the first movie more or less, there's still so many problems.
-
As just a personal preference, I never liked TMNT. I did not like them back in the day either. I didn't like how they talked or their attitudes. To me they seemed like they were forcibly trying to be cool and current. Now they are outdated (their attitudes), but people still enjoy them. I can not slam a movie I have not seen, but I don't plan to see this. It just doesn't interest me.
-
Big TMNT fan here! :3 80's cartoon, the 00's cartoon, and some of the Nick stuff is alright. Same with the movies an comics as well. :D Cowabunga!

THANK YOU! Yes its a ridiculous idea but thats what made it fun. Who else in their right mind would create a story around four mutant turtles trained in ninja? No one! Thank god Eastman and Laird did!
-
It is a pretty crazy and far out concept. I'm glad they made it, as the comics and tv shows were pretty cool.
-
Some of the video games from back in the day were pretty cool too. like turtles in time for the super nintendo
-
Oh I never played the video games.

I have to agree with that. I don't remember what it was called, but it was pretty fun picking up a controller with my cousin and we played and fought our way past mobs of crooks.
