So since this movie is coming out (or has it come out already, I can't tell I'm down here), I felt we should have a topic to talk about it. I know there's one in Media and Observations, but I felt it would be good here too.
If anyone goes to see the movie, leave your thoughts here. I sure wish I could go see it, it looks like it will be a good heartfelt movie. Just like Finding Nemo. Let's discuss!
-
Sounds good. :) I do want to see this movie.
-
Short clip in Spanglish. There's even a bit just for you guys in it.

It bugs me how all movies do EXACTLY the same formula on tv advertising. Always say, "THIS IS AWESOME!" Or something like that. Screaming, gross out humor.... burps....
What ever happened to ads that actually got people interested in the storyline? I'm surprised Pixar fell to this low level... unless their DISNEY overlords forced them.
-
I thought there were ads that got you interested in the story. Like the whole Dory having a flashback and then going "my family" and then feelsy stuff.
But Disney has gone that way of ads since Frozen came out, really. Hence why it seemed to have such a big boom cuz people were going "It's NOTHING like the trailers!!"
-
Oh don't be silly, how could a trailer possibly not represent the actual movie?

Trailers need to be recut for tv ads. Way better.
^ Because that is what The Shining was all about. :)
-
Pffff. Totally what it's all about.
-
Should I be shamed since i have never seen Frozen yet?
-
Not ashamed, but it's a nice movie to see. Hype aside, the music score is beautiful. I'm a big fan of the orchestral music during the ship scene in the beginning of the movie.

Getting dangerously close to someone referencing something.... something.... overplayed.

Is like to see this movie B)
-
I want to find Dory. ;) I look forward to this movie.
-
At the theater right now to see it
-
Sweet, don't spoil anything for us :P
My boyfriend went to go see it without me (go figure), he said he almost cried. But then again, he gets emotional with deep stuff. But I really want to see this movie.
-
I will see this soon probably. :)
-
Well....it was indeed a pixar movie
-
It seems to be doing really good. Just like all the folks who didn't want a third Toy Story movie, I am told this movie had emotion and greatly complimented the first. Many say it is better then Finding Nemo.
-
IT was a good movie and it does what pretty much EVERY pixar movie does these days.
They emotionally wreck you.

Ahhhh! That means I would probably be a sobby mess!
-
Well, Pixar doesn't always emotionally wreck you. *coughs* Cars *cough cough* Good Dinosaur.
Although, I suppose it's a different kind of emotion wrecking. Like anger and hatred? Eh whatever. I'm glad this movie it good. I actually didn't like Finding Nemo much, mostly because I thought Nemo was an ungrateful little dick who needed some good disciplining, if you know what I mean.
I really look forward to watching this movie when I get home :)
-
I didn't care for Finding Nemo much.
Didn't mind Cars, I found it clever, but Speed was a jerk.
Didn't see Brave or Good Dinosaur. Want too.
-
I watch Cars with my dad. If I watch it alone I find it extremely difficult to enjoy. And Speed? You mean the main character haha
Brave is alright. Animation is fabulous, the message is nice, the story is just... Eh. Good Dinosaur is absolutely stunningly gorgeous. But the story is very meh. Very half baked and all over the place.
-
I enjoyed Cars at the time it came out because I was a kid but now I as I look back on it, it doesn't hold up to me.
The incredibles tho will always be my fave ever movie and I am SO glad we are finally getting a sequel
-
When you were a kid? When did the movie come out? Like, 2006? That's only... Shit 10 years ago. So I was 8, 9?? Jesus Christ. You were what, 14, 16? Gee whiz.
-
i had to be 13 or 14 at the time
-
I need to see Brave and the Good Dinosaur.
Inside Out is really good. :) Clever.
-
Coming soon: Finding Nori, Ori, Gloin, Oin, Kili, Fili, Bombur, Bofur, Bifur, Balin, Dwalin and Thorin.
-
... I would probably be a sobby mess!
That's why watching movies with girls is so great. They get all sobby at the weepy movies and start clutching their date with fear at the scary ones.
Which is why I'm a little sad I'm watching them on the computer, at home, alone. :-[
-
Aw. It's funny, in scary movies I cling occasionally, but I don't get weepy easy. I think the last time I cried during a movie was The SpongeBob Movie where Patrick and SpongeBob are slowly shriveling up and singing as they realized they did the impossible. Gets me right in the feels, yo.
