This caught me off guard. Sometimes I post various old things on deviantart that were from a long time ago that people do not talk about anymore, to the point that there are things that I myself do not think about anymore until someone clicks a fav button or posts a comment.
A username called supergex3d looked at some comments I left on other people's pages and gave me a thank you in a way I wasn't expecting. I can't really post a comment as a link so I'll share a stash link of what the comment showed.

To those who want to see this without reading a bunch of text, stop here XD It's one of those days where there's a lot of good and bad thoughts swirling in my head and I need a place to say some of the thoughts or I'll go crazy XD
Honestly I have mixed feelings about this. I'll start with saying I am genuinely thankful someone took time looking at the gallery with more than just what I recently posted. I am also thankful someone commented on something.
I like that what they shared with ai did not copy paste. This has differences from the original post and I am glad it has differences. The idea is the same, and I love the idea of an angel sneezing =)
The intention behind why this happened is also sweet. I don't expect anyone to do anything just because I make comments on other people's posts.
Why I feel mixed feelings is self dread and my own views on ai specifically. I see people take down their entire art galleries or stop creating anything new because of this very thing that happened here.
With this specific case, the thing that happened here was with good intentions, but this honestly easily could have been "oh I see this past idea years ago, I can take this past thing years ago and sell it in the current day."
I'll also share my thoughts on ai too here. To me, ai is ai. Art is art. Both are different from each other. I do not see art and ai the same way. My own personal tests with ai on deviantart's dream up show me that ai is not a magic button XD I can't just write a paragraph or a sentence like I would with one of my written stories and expect a sneeze to appear the way I imagine with using ai. A sneeze expression is not a simple thing and ai with dreamup struggles with a sneeze. I could go try other ai things but I ask myself "why" why would I when I can do something myself? I also answer my own question and end up doing nothing because I spend so much energy just debating with my own thoughts.
Time is time, and as more things IRL happen with job and family, less and less time is available for me to be online. I can spend time hating ai for not being genuine, but I choose to spend time appreciating an idea someone has with ai and real art people have.
