A few days ago, a friend of mine from the FSA (Pink, aka DownyFeathers) had mentioned that she'd always wanted to see Dory from Pixar's Finding Nemo sneeze. This was not the first time she had brought up this idea -- but around the last time she mentioned it (which was sometime in late 2014), I grew busy and forgot about it soon after. This refreshed my memory, however, and I seized the opportunity to doodle up a quick comic for her. :)
The pre-sneeze stuff was actually done while I was waiting in my car between classes yesterday. I finished it all up last night, and -- surprise, surprise -- she loved it. So I wanted to share it with you guys, too!

Awwwwwwwwww thats so cute!
-
Heh heh, this is cute. The expressions are really nicely done.
-
Very cute! She's probably gonna forget tho and just end up swimming back there.
-
Oh my god XD I just pictured that in my head.
>inb4 endless cycle
-
x'DD She totally would!! Thanks guys. :)

How you drew her find and eyes are really good to me, and her overall shape is great! I like how her nose the more it itches shows a little flared nostrils ^^ In my biology class I learned some fish do have nostrils ^^
-
Fish actually have a pretty keen sense of smell, esp. sharks, hagfish, and the humble trout.
Anyway, pretty good. Interesting pre-sneeze expression. I could see this as the plot of one of those little 4- or 5-minute bonus shorts they put on the DVD. I just hope the "something" isn't toxic waste.

Never thought I would look at a fish sneezing and saying how GOOD it looks! Wow, that is detailed and how far you've come on your art from when I remember first looking at it is astounding, Paws!

This really means a lot to me. >///< Thank you so much, APD!!

The more I come back to look at this, the more I kind of want to see what story is lying underneath. I'm sure it wouldn't be anything particularly harmful to her or the water as a whole -- maybe some stray pollen, or dust from a crumbling rock -- but my own curiosity is piqued.
Thank you all so much! :)

Rock dust would make sense. If they're near a gorge or something haha. Then her sneeze causes a rock fall XD
-
That would be very dory
-
It would indeed. I wonder how Marlin and Nemo would react to that haha

*Facefin*
-
Are their fins big enough for their faces?? Lol

I am not going into the water if fishes sneeze in there!
This is really good. Never would have thought of sneezing fish.

I love your drawing style. I like this.
I've always wanted to see you drawing a fox sneeze. I just think with how well you draw K-9 type creatures, you'd be so pro at that. You are so pro at what you do already. You have a great talent.
-
Oh my god, that would be so adorable.
Like a fox fox, or like, the fox from Zootopia?
-
Ahh, falling rocks. x'D Good ideas, good ideas!
I have drawn Skye, my fox, doing silly sneezy things a few times. The various commissions (http://snifflynose.deviantart.com/art/Commission-Comic-A-Gift-Gone-Wrong-in-Color-584370439) I've done that feature her (http://sta.sh/2oo1wd4pk54), for example.
I do have a more "traditional" looking red fox character (similar to the likes of Nick Wilde from Zootopia) that I adopted ages ago from Erudi. She was literally created with sneezy intentions but I haven't done anything with her yet. I'll definitely pen it down on my to-do list, though!
-
Zootopia.. I need to watch those trailers again
-
I honestly have no idea what the movie is about, other than your typical Disney animal characters.
-
I honestly think thats pretty much what its gonna be
-
Well no, what I meant by that was how Disney typically uses humanized animals to tell a story. Wasn't harping on Disney.
-
I know

I am not going into the water if fishes sneeze in there!
Reminds me of a classic W.C. Fields line: "I never drink water. Fish piss in it."
-
Oh, this is cute! She looks hard to draw. You did a good job! Also, I think you spelled her sneeze out perfectly for her character. xD
-
This is wonderful, Paws! :D I love your way of drawing expressions and... wow, you just made a FISH interesting to look at! Yes, fish are cool, but a sneezing fish? You can't do that... oh wait, PAWS did it! Great job!
