Well.... There has definitely been a lot of talk about it. Everyone is going nuts.

SPOILERS

It was good. I am disappointed on a lot of things that we couldn't know more about or character's being saved, but overall it was good. I think a lot of nuance will be lost on casual fans such as that quick scene when they all learned they are Ai's and not their real selfs. I am also still confused how Caine lived and what did he toss out of himself? A lot of unexplained things that will require watching videos from SUPER fans.  That isn't the best way to tell a story if people don't get it.  But overall, I really enjoyed the series. It started rocky, but it got good.

I enjoyed it! I liked it! I think the series as a whole was great and I loved the characterization and they did indeed leave it open for more whether it happens or not. But for what it was, it ended very well.

Great work to all in the staff who worked on this and the voice acting/music was SO good.

This answered some of my questions about the blue and red ai's.  Video

Overall I thoroughly loved the series and I am sad it's over. But sometimes it's better to end on a high note.

I loved . . . ADORED . . . this series! I am sad it's over, but as mentioned above me, they did seem to leave it somewhat open if they ever need to return to it . . . whether with the original creator or on their own. I guess it depends on who owns the rights.

Fantastic ending. I liked the vagueness and not everything being tied together. It's like real life in the sense that not everything ends perfectly.

I've heard others say the opposite that video says too.  It's kind of confusing.  They didn't say things well and what they showed was confusing. So that is a failure in story telling. I will still say they did a good job overall. Just a bit too vague.

Did anyone else know this?  This final episode was at select movie theaters?  What?!

The episode premiered in theaters on June 4 2026, before being released on YouTube and Netflix on June 19 2026. The theatrical release grossed $38.2 million at the box office, and the episode received positive reviews from critics.

In the United States, it grossed $7.86 million on its opening day, finishing first at the box office, and went on to earn an additional $12.7 million over the course of its opening weekend.

It's a good series but I will say the writing was a mess and all over the place.  Especially in this final episode. It was non-committal and didn't answer so many things and flubbed over things. That said, I still did enjoy the finale.

My query: is Bubble actually real, or is he all in Caine's head?  Or whatever passes for a head in an infected A.I. program, anyhow. Notice Pomni and the others constantly address him, or talk about how to take him out, but no one mentions Bubble.  As Caine's little spherical pal appears in close-ups, usu. when Caine directly addresses him, but is curiously never visible on the long shots, even when from that angle he should be-- rewatch bonus-- I'm thinking no one else can see him.  And, of course, when his self-doubt begins to grow, Bubble turns downright abusive, mocking Caine, which is downright scary.  The guy is clearly crackers, so I suppose the others likely take his habit of talking to himself constantly for granted and wisely say nothing.

I think Bubble is the other ai he popped out of his head that resents his power and tries to corrupt him.
