Not sure where to put this, but this is something that has the possibility to be very, very dangerous. Ai is ai, it's all over the place. This one choice, with how the wording is, is dangerous. For anyone that uses ai or anyone that hates ai, any person on either side of ai should be very concerned for multiple reasons.

To anyone that does not know, Bob Iger is one of the top people of Disney's current company. Ai content from users should be a VERY big red flag. What this means is Disney is now making a move that previously big named companies haven't outwardly revealed. The control over who really owns ai is going to shift, and I can guarantee that this one statement is going to have a domino effect. What that effect is, I have no idea. I can't see the future XD

Hate is already being thrown around, and this one statement from Disney's higher up is going to make the hate thrown around amplified.

I chose to pick this one specific comment to highlight because of what this person's point brings up.

Dana Terrace is the one behind the creation of Owl House and several other animated shows. They know how dangerous Disney can get with controlling media.

“If you pay us we’ll let you make your own content slop! That we will own!”

That point is what everyone, artists and ai users, should be aware of. At the same time, PLEASE don't take this post as doom/gloom. I just wanted to spread awareness of something potentially very big happening.

This sounds really dumb.  But being that it's Disney and too many people don't seem to dislike Ai, it will probably take off . . . at least for a bit.

This topic probably belongs in the "Television and Films" board.

I mean, all Ai content people create, whether images, music, words, stories, etc, aren't owned by them.  It's owned by the company who created the Ai.  They can also willingly share and use your details for various deeds.

Ai creation is the scariest thing to happen in our lifetimes and it can be used for horrible horrible bad.  People are creating false images of people, world leaders, all of which can fool people. It can lead to real life implications, possible wars and battles if certain people believe it.

Thank you for that suggestion for the topic location, I think you are right about this fitting better in the television and films board.

I do not know how this will go, but I would rather at least be aware of what is happening instead of being completely surprised at what goes on.

I hope I am worrying about something that will fade out over a short time.

Thank you for your comment, I just hope that things do not spiral more than things already have.

Ai is ai, art is art. In my mind, ai can have cool mimicry but real art is real, a mimic is not. Ai posts have ideas that are real, I get why people use ai, using ai just can so easily spiral out of control in multiple ways.

I learned a lot about ai over the past year and unfortunately, this program that Disney is going to make will be the kind of crud comment they feed to children just to fill their time. Just slop. It's going to hurt our future generations.

And you can bet this is a test.  If ai slop can be used to entertain children, why would they need to pay animators, writers, and creators to make this same kind of content? It's a dastardly thing being done here and all around the world.

Darrin's example is the most dire.  Outside of the horrifying ramifications it can have to spread false news, it will also shut down creators. Artist's will lose jobs. Writers will lose jobs. Hollywood is toast.

Meh, I'm thinking within a decade Georgia will be to the animation industry what the former Czechosovakia was to animation in the sixties and seventies. That is to say, those commie bastards, what you may think of their ideology, could fart out a Popeye or a Tom and Jerry cartoon in half the time and money it took a comparable team of artists over in Burbank.  Disney actually has a workable idea; why not see some small arthouses outside the Tinseltown grist mill adopt it? So, in short, Gavin Newsom really let California down, screw Hollywood, and I'm all for allowing untested talent to pitch their vanity projects to a little studio who can really do something promising with them.  Who knows, we might find a few roses in this dungheap.

This sounds terrible. What are they actually do? Someone needs to put a CAP on this ai crud right now.  USA, step up and do it.  EU... Someone needs to do something.

It's alarming how fast AI is advancing and changing before our eyes.  It's before any regulations can be created.  It's before we know its purpose and how to properly use it. So many will lose jobs to AI.

I wish I could say this venture would be a failure . . . but if parents plop their kids in front of Ai crap, they will probably enjoy it wand watch it.  Further making our kids dumber and with EVEN SHORTER attention spans. :(  Nothing here is good for their development.
