Sorry to hear that.  But now we are Thursday, one day closer to the weekend! Hopefully that helps some!  <3

Thursday is one of my favorite nights of the week, because that's when I watch the delightfully pseudo-Sapphic adventures of Rizzoli and Isles... followed by Yogi's Gang.  Quite a juxtaposition, I will admit.

That's nice to have a Thursday night routine.  I like Thursday because it's one day away from Friday and the weekend! :D

I know it's Friday because the bank is open an extra hour--though, since Covid broke, most people just do their withdrawals at the ATMs  outside the building now.

Exactly. I don't think I've BEEN inside a bank since before 2020 at this point.  I do it all from my computer, phone, ATM, etc.

I rarely go to the bank anymore.  It can all be done online.

Oh, yeah? Can you get a free lollipop from the teller on a banking app?

[A TEENAGE GIRL walks by and clicks on her phone, which makes a cash register sound, and defiantly licks a lollipop.]

 :(   These kids today.

:{   ...Actually, I'm old enough to remember the days when they had gumball machines in the lobby of the local bank, and a piece cost one penny. They were square-shaped, though... can you rightfully call it a gumball if it's square?

I'm young enough to remember watching a show with a character's name being Gumball! ;D

Cubed gum is not a gumball.  That would be more like IceBreakers gum.

These predated that brand by a few years, actually. [1] Not sure who manufactured it... but it came in a variety of colors, whereas the Ice Breakers are all white.

I've always thought the Gumball end theme sounds just like the soundtrack of a horror film. For optimum effect, slow it down to half speed and imagine it set in a dark, deserted amusement park.  All we need is a rusted-out abandoned carousel with some sad-looking, decrepit ponies, and this music playing right before the killer shows up.

Gumball was actually a modern show I always somewhat enjoyed, but yeah, the ending theme is pretty strange and weird.

I hear they've had a revival.
