Workout Series: Trixie (F)

Welcome to my mini-series called, The Workout Series.  We follow various MLP characters in EQG form doing exercise in various forms.

This series was to teach me to better draw the human form and shape.  I know it will not appeal to everyone, but that is how life is.  I even took the extra time to do what I dislike doing, coloring.  I then upped that by slapping on some light shading.  I wanted to have a more complete looks instead of just sketch all the time.  There are still hints of sketch on these though, which I don't mind leaving behind.  They are not perfect, but it is a more complete project then I feel I have ever released yet.

AFTER you leave a comment, feel free to leave comments on who you wanna also see drawn, or if this series even interests you.  The official title of the images are in the links at the DA pages.

So my first subject was Trixie, and here she is!  Three different pics, three versions, two pics, one comic, and one special pic for the comic.

•3• Dat butt.
Really nice poses, you've really improved man. We don't see much of Trixie, but I like this. I find it kinda funny how her sneeze threw out her back XD. Quite a humorous situation. And the expressions are pretty funny heheh, I love those little cartoon "pain" circle things. Really completed the picture.

LOL!  Those are terrific! I can really see you put effort in these as they came out amazing and the color is a very nice surprise indeed!  I love the comic especially because it doesn't hint at any sneezy fetishdom and it is just funny!  I can see that happening!  Love the expressions and your take on the characters is a joy.  Seeing them go from sketches, then sometimes colored by Sudosnz, to this is just a huge step forward.

Don't worry, we don't expect this level all the time!  Lol!  Just do what you like.  Love seeing you improve as you said this was an "exercise" for you to do.  Sort of like the exercise Trixie are doing.  You are both doing a workout, just in different ways.

Female form is VERY good here.  It will be interesting to see how you do other characters too, since all body types are different.  Though this is a good way for to learn, since workout clothes often are tighter fitting.  11 out of 10!

I'm looking at this closer now and wow! It's a lot more detailed than I initially thought.

First off, Trixie's nose shape and small nose wrinkle is adorable. I think I rarely say a nose shape is actually cute, but this is. So cute and round ;3;
And then the shading under her breasts, wow, that's really nicely done. Gives them more of a shape. And then the wrinkles in the back part of her shirt, that's a really nice extra detail that kinda shows us how much she's stretching her back. And lastly, you've really improved with the hands. They look pretty good here, if a bit simplistic, they're still getting better.

I've said it before, sometimes I like pics just for the nose shape. And this one is....perfect. That scrunch, the flare, I just wanna boop it and wiggle it.

I gotta agree with Leap on this, the detail is muah (the sound you make when you kiss the tip of your fingers and put your hand in the air).

One of the first things I noticed was the wrinkles on the back.

Gotta say, man, this is a real awesome post! Hope you continue this sort of series (well, in your typical fashion. or whatever fashion you choose.).

APD OH MY GOSHHH

This is really well-drawn though, Silverwing!! The female form is a difficult one, but you've got a good handle on it. And this situation IS particularly humorous. Looking forward to more!

LOL!  Trixie is broken!  I like how simplistic the edit is.  Lol!

Thank you!  I am thinking of moving on with a Victorian era fashion next.  ;)  Mamma Mia!

I really appreciate it.

I've said it before, sometimes I like pics just for the nose shape. And this one is....perfect. That scrunch, the flare, I just wanna boop it and wiggle it.

Thank you so much!  I know you love noses, as do I.  I always try to do cute noses on my characters.  Boop and wiggle it all day, my friend.

I'm looking at this closer now and wow! It's a lot more detailed than I initially thought.

First off, Trixie's nose shape and small nose wrinkle is adorable. I think I rarely say a nose shape is actually cute, but this is. So cute and round ;3;

Wow, thanks so much, LP!  I actually forgot about retouching up her hands.  But yes, that is something I have worked on improving, and is still a weak point.  Another issue I ran into was making the body look right.  I didn't want to make the torso too long or too short, or the legs too long, etc.  I am still not a fan of her heads position, but I really wanted to draw some fun expressions.  Also tried out a different sneeze mouth.

Glad the nose had that effect on you.  I like noses!

You noticed the shading on the breast!  I did that throughout to try and add depth to the character, especially in areas of contours and curves.  Even the curve of the body itself, like the torso, or the contour in the legs, calves, face, etc.  :)
