The comic underperformed because people don't get it or don't like a story anymore.  Everything has to BE FUNNY or BE SEXY.  Thats too bad.  This is great build up for what will certainly be a big character building arc.

Thanksgiving is this week too, so if I am right about what they've done in the past, they like to do holiday themed episodes.  So this year they actually did a weeks worth of Halloween comics... maybe we will get a week's worth of Thanksgiving comics?  Will the family visit?  Dad and Mom?  Cadence, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart?  Maybe more confrontation with Lily and Starlight?  Many possibilities.

Twilight's well-known obsessive and neat-freak tendencies come to the fore aqui. It's been established in both the mainstream and the ATF continuity that Moondancer is a total slob.  I figure Twi will initially approach the door to her quarters with optimism, then, upon getting a real good look at the mess within: ..."Or, we just set everything in the room on fire, piss on the ashes, and salt the earth so that nothing will ever grow in that spot again."

And ever-practical Spike is all, "Or, or, we just keep the door locked while your folks are visiting, 'kay...?"

Moondancer has been controlling this ALL along. She introduced Twilight to him covertly.  Twilight is steps ahead of every pony!
