Expressions is on of this series highest points, as well as characterization and telling stories. 

Lot of people don't like long drawn out stories, but this series does it different.  It tells the story through characters progressing in life, not just a plot device.  There are extremely few series out there, amateur and professionally, that do that.

Looking through comments, it seems a lot of people took this latest comic as Twilight trying to hit on Spike.  I didn't get that.  I saw it as Twi not wanting Spike to leave.  She loves him as a companion, not a lover.

Spike is her closest friend, she doesn't wanna see him grow up and move away, it's a pretty straightforward comic.  Too many shippers and not enough ocean sometimes.

Like I said... she's a mom.  She knows someday Spike will grow up (into a fifty- or sixty-foot dragon, no less) and leave home, and that makes her sad.  She wants to keep him close to her as long as she can. Plus she's very practical about getting a car. Maybe I should ask the author about the possibility of Twilight buying a sensible SUV to drive Spike to soccer games.

We've moved on from minivans and SUV's.  Cool parents buy CUV's now... come on guys. ;)

I jest, but also love this comic.  It was sweet, and I feel a large portion of the fandom had it fly right over their heads.

We assume.  It was sort of hard to tell, but the soft lines gave the impression of a van. ;)

Many artists depict the human Twilight as a young Asian woman.  I looked for a pic that had her wearing glasses as well.  Unfortunately.  I stumbled into a dark corner of the Internet.   Twi looks more like old Raven in those Teen Titans Go! shorts.
