Not always! 
And there also was Vinyl as a sneezer.

That further cements how much of a sneezer Vinyl is!  I love the amount of sneezers in this series!!!

That is the best part!  She'd be a good one to have sneezing fits, which I think she has.  As pointed out, in the series she is always rubbing her nose randomly.  She seems to have a nose that is prone to tickling, being stuffy, and sneezing.

It irks me so much we didn't see her sneeze here.  I can only imagine how great it would have looked given how much the series has improved visually.  She even has her chest inflating with air in this one panel!  It's so perfect!  Her nostrils are wide, it's all ready to happen! She was RIGHT THERE.  Oh it kills me.

I decided to go look up as many moments I could find that involve Vinyl and her NOSE.  These are only from the official AT&F series of course.

Her first sneezes in the series, triple.

She catches a cold, reddened nose

Still has a cold, messy triple sneezes and a sneezing fit

Uses a toothbrush to scrub her sinuses because she "felt gross."  Another example of a stuffed up, tickle nose.  She's also still sick.

Itchy nose, rubbing it.

Nose sniffing.

Runny nose because of hot sauce.

Tickly Nose followed by almost sneezing (likely a triple).




Another character who seems to have a sensitive nose is Starlight Glimmer.  She often talks about how her nose is stuffy and is seen rubbing it a lot too.  But that is a much bigger subset of images to find.  There are maybe hundreds, lol.


And since we are talking about Vinyl a bit now... has anyone else ever thought she sort of has a crush on Spike?  If not, I love their friendship too.  They are so good together. So natural.

I couldn't agree more!  She was so close, and just to have her tease a sneeze is so sad!  I would like to think she sneezed shortly after this.  Kinda crazy she can be that close and that fast to the cusp and be brought back down to calm with Spike's finger.

Thank you for getting all those scenes together @Silverwing!  Yeah, there is a lot of moments with her and her nose.  Of course we'd notice this, but no one else gives a flying fudge about it. lol.  I would love to see her sneeze her standard triple.  I wonder if the writers still remember that or it would just be a single sneeze?  So many times creators forget what they establish.  It's important to us, but maybe not to them.  Why would they remember how much Vinyl sneezes?

Spike x Vinyl has been a long thought thing by fans of this series.  It's sort of a hidden, background thing.  Some people ship it.  I like the idea and I think Spike and her are so natural.

Maybe after we discuss Vinyl's nose, we can talk about Starlight's and find scenes with that.  I am sure there is a lot of material.

I do not think she's ever mentioned allergies, but it would make sense if she is always rubbing her nose and sneezing in triples.  I am willing to assume she has allergies AND a sensitive nose.
