Disney really hasn't had a animated hit that will become a classic in awhile. The downfall of their live action films is very apparent, but their animated content hasn't fallen that far yet.  Hopefully it never does.

New cgi/live action Lilo & Stitch.  Guess Disney is going to keep doing these...

Hmmm.  I need to see more.  The actors seem to fit the parts in human form.

It looks better than Disney's previous remakes. Maybe Disney has finally learned something with their past reboots and remakes . . . that sadly earned them tons of money.

This new generation of kids will have NOTHING original they can look back on and fondly remember.  Just reboots and remakes.  It's like they are reliving the 90's and 2000's, but doing so in the 2020's.

Yes.  But a sterilized and bland version, like a tofu burger, or a pizza with cashew cheese, or a virgin daiquiri.  I've said before, if you reboot a property but take away seventy, 80 percent of what made it great, you're going to simply bore new audiences and anger the old ones, who will complain the original was far better. Sadly, they don't want to take a chance on new content, because Hollywood has feared creators and innovators since some of the last batch turned out to be creeps and weirdos--I've dubbed this the "Kricfalusi effect". The words "hard to work with", "toxic", "hostile work environment", and admissions that both quality and output improved without these "tormented geniuses" about are used quite a bit in these links. And, yes, one of the men discussed in "QOS" actually did work for Disney back in the day. I don't know if there was any funny business happening behind the scenes, but did you ever notice, on Riverdale, how haunted Jughead's eyes look? It's like he's seen things, man.    ???  :o

This is a cash grab and nothing more.  It might not be "as bad" but is this what people accept now days?  :-\  These companies are never going to learn as the masses of lost people continue to support them.

Speaking of bombs, thankfully Disney's new Snow White is failing miserably. That actress who plays Snow White is an absolute jerk.

At this point is it even a surprise if a Disney remake fails? At this point we should just be starting betting pools on how badly it will fail.

Yeah, and besides, a black Snow White isn't exactly an original idea. Bob Clampett did it more than eighty years ago.

And better.

Cripes, it's like Disney tried to make an uplifting, enlightened, and "woke" move, and managed to turn out something ten times as horrific and racist as... as... I dunno, what's the most blatantly horrible, racist, offensive movie ever made? Then,
that. Ugh. Way to go, liberals--between this and the 2008 and 2012 Presidential election, thanks for setting the Movement back 50, sixty years.

And yet, those dwarves still manage to look less creepy than the ones in this movie.

They went with CGI models because the actress is only five-two. What, they couldn't afford a box for her to stand on? I mean, if they wanted to "re-imagine" The Seven Dwarfs for a new generation, make them, I don't know, a band of extraterrestrial miners secretly living on earth or something.

...No, wait, don't-- The Seven Dwarfs played by aliens has been done too.

The new film is currently flopping. Snow White (2025 film) had a budget of $270 million.  Currently at $87 million earned. The rating is 44% or 5 out of 10.

"exhaustingly awful" with "tiresome pseudo-progressive additions" and criticized Zegler and Gadot's roles as "the dullest performances of their lives". - The Guardian

"The timeless classic, a groundbreaking achievement for animation, has been turned into another pointless and awkward live-action automaton that vanishes from your mind the second it's over." - New York Post

"may not be the worst live-action adaptation of an animated touchstone, though it's a strong contender for its blandest." - Rolling Stone
