I've been watching the American Ninja Warrior special promoting How to Train Your Dragon, and between the many HTTYD commercials and the statues of Toothless and Stormfly at the start of the course, I found out some stuff that you guys might wanna know regarding the live-action remake coming this Friday.

The bad news? The Deadly Nadder's nostrils also got seriously nerfed in terms of size, like the Monstrous Nightmare. :-\

The good news? From the looks of it, Toothless gets a cute new sneezing fit at some point in the movie, so that's something for you all to look forward to. ;D

I did not realize that movie already released. Shows how little I pay attention to Hollywood anymore.  Haha.  But it looked good and I am glad it is doing well.  Compared to other projects, it looks like it has heart put into it.

I thought it was a fun trailer and I was going to be so proud of them if they could go a whole trailer without a burp or fart.

Of course they ruined it at the VERY END.

Shrek 5 being delayed to June 30, 2027. A lot are speculating it is over his design.  That can not be backed up though.

Hmmm.  I'm curious what they will do.  I have a feeling they won't alter how Shrek looks.

Strangely, THE BAD GUYS 2, is not doing well in the box office.  Reviews are positive and good, but people are not getting up to watch this movie.  In a desperate attempt, Dreamworks then put the film on streaming after the first weekend was not a success.  This will be an interesting case study once more time passes.

I'm confused how it didn't at least start off better than the original.  Curious case study indeed.  I am sure we will find out more and maybe even get ideas of what led to this failure. From a quick glance, I didn't see anything going up against it in theaters.  Nothing significant at least.

Dreamworks continuing to outdo Disney and Pixar.  Another original film with stunning visual flair.

FORGOTTEN ISLAND release date is September 2026.

This new original film is written and directed by Academy Award® nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado and is produced by Academy Award® nominee Mark Swift, the filmmaking team behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Grammy and Academy Award® winning supernova H.E.R. and Liza Soberano (Lisa Frankenstein, Alone/Together) star as high school graduates Jo and Raissa, who have been best friends since grade school but are now about to embark on separate life paths.

While celebrating their last night together, Jo and Raissa stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali, packed with magical and mythological creatures they grew up hearing stories about from their Filipino families.

Some of these figures will become friends, some foes. Joined by well-meaning-but- hapless weredog Raww (Dave Franco) and a small-but-mighty pack of pals, Jo and Raissa must face The Dreaded Manananggal (Tony winning icon Lea Salonga), the most feared creature on the island. When they discover that the memories of their entire friendship are the price for returning home, Jo and Raissa will race to find a way to leave the island before they forget each other forever.

DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island is distributed by Universal Pictures.
