If you request art or an artist does a gift for you, please be considerate. Say thank you, and if you feel like they messed up on somehing or made a mistake, kindly let them know.

You can do that too, but also keep in mind that they are also not obligated to fix any mistakes. It's a request. Some things can be fixed with ease, but if it's a nitpick, it's best to not bother. It's a request. They're not obligated to do anything. At most you should be thankful that they even did it to begin with.

That is also true. I'm sorry of that was so sudden. There was something from someone posted in a thread on Derpibooru. I won't go to into depth of the situation, but someone made a request or gift for someone in the fandom. They never even told them thank you and had the balls to tell to delete it because it had upset them that the had made a mistake. The image was very well done and I genuinely felt hurt for the artist since she had already been through a lot recently.

There are a few "sharks" out there who want stuff for free, and a few well known people on the "do not draw for list."  Be careful.  You can probably find that list by asking some artists here.

I've dealt with it myself in the past, but good lord this girl did not deserve what she got. First was a threat to hack her account iver denying a request, and then the one I just mentioned where the guy was downright ungrateful for her work. It's heartbreaking.

It's disgusting, really. Especially when they're blind to the fact that they don't know how horrible they're acting and are just like "Oh but my request".

I think these people forget that artists are people too. They want to do other things, they have emotions, sometimes they wanna go play DOOM on a microwave or some shit but they can't do that because some guy in their 20s is asking for their pony to be drawn.
