I think that is 100% right.  Bronies had their show.  This is for a new era and isn't catered to them.  You have to come in KNOWING this will be something different entirely.

Well, looks like we'll watch first Pony Life episodes soon. This article says that the season starts at June 13.

You would think they would promote that.  There hasn't even been an ad yet.  I am skeptical of that date.

So this will mean a boost to pony everywhere for a bit.  Derpibooru, comics, videos.  But it may mean the purge/divide/breakup/destruction of past bronies and fans... or it could mean a new generation of fans, a growing of the fanbase.  Time will tell.  It's about to get wild.

We have to realize this is a NEW show and won't be the same characters and world we expect.  IT'S DIFFERENT. 

Just like how Teen Titans GO! was different then Teen Titans.  It's the same named characters, but totally reimagined.

They say first impressions are the strongest.  So what do you think from seeing this?

Well.... it's a thing... I guess. 

Can't say I am too impressed as of right now.

Well, first episode confirms that this show is more crazy than previous generation — just look how Pinkie loves to destruct herself and turn into other ponies (see here).
The good thing is that Mane 6 voice actors are still here .
