With how talented SCS is becoming, imagine the beauty of the coat along Croatia and cities like Dubrovnik! Montenegro and Greece will be beautiful too. Wow.  So, much beauty and excitement for the future!!  Looks like the main highways move inland with Albania.

Germany and Belarus really stand out.... lol.

Germany doesn't allow street view due to privacy reasons, but they are even starting to allow it more and more.  Now some major cities are mapped as well as major routes.  But most rural countryside is not.  What are you hiding Germany?  ;D

Although a big piece of Balkans is not covered too.

Damn all this political stuff. >:(

BTW, your satellite shot with Central Asia reminds me about how a topographic map can become obsolete too.
In this picture from (apparently) old map we see a big water body to the east of Caspian Sea:

...but the actual satellite shot shows almost nothing.

Maps change all the time, even with significant differences throughout the year.

Wouldn't it be nice if world leaders just all played nice?  I know the majority of people would just like to be chill with one another. ;D Then we wouldn't have all these problems and we could have well mapped trucking sim content. ;D  Lol!

I love Google Streetview... and I hate to say that.  Because I truly hate Google. ;D  I don't use Google services besides a gmail and their awesome maps that can't be matched.

The Russia update is looking nice.

I wonder if they will add any Russian brands?  I am willing to bet no.  I just don't see Russian brands being a thing in the game, especially since they probably wouldn't be driven outside of Russia or former Soviet states due to strict EU things.

I was looking up Russian trucks and found some concepts and renderings that aren't real, but still interesting.

And why aren't these Iveco's in the game?  The new Iveco LNG?

And lastly, startup EV company Nikola is rebadging a Iveco for the US market. It is being tested at the Port of Los Angeles.  They call it the Nikola Tre. Article

Nikola is a very shady company and is being investigated for lying to investors and various things.  They originally had their own truck design, but it turns out it was fake and they were rolling it down a hill to make it look like it was driving.  And now they just buy another Euro truck and redesign part of it.... I don't think many trust Nikola let alone trust they will be here in five years as a company.  But I do think it's cool to finally have a cab-over truck in the US if they start mass producing these.

Iveco hasn't had any love from SCS in a very long time.  It all depends on their licenses.  The truck in game is old and as a brand, they have the oldest and only brand with one truck in the game.  SCS also had to patch out IVECO civilian vehicles in the game, then eventually entirely removed the vehicles and replaced them with made up vehicles.

Ural making a truck... haha....HA! That is very very very very very very very VERY unlikely.

The highway truck made by Ural is like Ural Motorcycle starting making the motocross bikes.
Or like a drum or flute made by Stradivari ;D.
It’s possible, but it’s a big out-of-character acting. ;D

But... there are a lot of highway truck manufacturers who tried to create a racing truck. And KamAZ succeded — I don’t remember ZiL or Ural in Dakar, but KamAZ team have the most wins for last 20 years!

So, more Russian cities are getting the dedicated blog posts now. I see a lot of trolley bus power lines on these photos, but I don’t expect to see the actual trolley buses in ETS — I think it’s still difficult to animate their poles properly.

There has been some ongoing talk about this truck at my work.  Of course, they wouldn't fit our needs as a company, but for right now, to see how they will do at the port in LA is pretty cool.
