Thanks for sharing your finds, APD. :)

Did any of you tried Convoy mode?

Today they have added the dedicated server for it. I would say it’s important... if I knew what it is .

I have done it twice, just to try it out.  Essentially it is single player, with the small possibility you might see another trucker drive by on the road.  Of the two times I did it, everyone followed the rules of the road and there were no crazies.  If someone does hit you or you wreck your truck, after you are done with the session, SCS nicely allows you to make what you did "count to your profile" or not count to your profile."  So lets say while online you gained two driver levels and made $200,000 in deliveries. If you are satisfied you can save it to your account and it will apply it as if you did it in your single player or WoT account.  Let's say you wrecked your truck and it will cost you $120,000 to repair, you can simply not count it and you account will just remember what you did before joining online.

It's a very simple but well done system so far.

A dedicate server means you can host a match for just you are your friends to play and it will always be there to access even if you "the host" isn't there.  So you friends can play while you are away.  They can start a delivery, only drive 10 minutes, log out, and come back a different time to finish it.  You also don't have to run this server through your own computer (think of LAN play from games in the 90s and 2000s).  LAN required the hosts computer to be on to play.  The dedicated server means the host's computer doesn't have to be on because SCS is wonderful and beautiful, and will run it on their own servers AT NO COST!  You can also set it up so only your friends join and no one else, whitelisting, similar to Minecraft.

I hope that answers you questions.  Whether you plan to play online or not, this is one of the most significant updates to our trucking sim . . . possibly since the creation of Convoy.  It is one step close to bringing WoT compatibility even further, and allow SCS to be imaginative in how they create new events, and how people play them.

So, this is really good upgrade.
I just remember an option «create dedicated server» in some older games I have played, but never used the multiplayer mode ;D.

Maybe someday I will use it.  I'm glad people got what they wanted.

So, the first one was made for 2018 expansion, second one — for 2019 DLC, and this time the developers show us some new prefabs for West Balkans DLC and some countries from older maps. Maybe I don’t very like to slow down for a border control ;D, but... I still like the diversity, although I don’t expect new functions of these border control stations — so, we will likely see the same set of visual-Xray-document controls, just under the roofs of different shape and color ;D.

Love the improvements!  Hate the border wait times, lol.

Yah!  More border crossings and slowing down!  :P  As much as I hate slowing down for tolls and crossings, I am actually glad they are making these more and more realistic.  With 8 countries that are fairly small, there is going to be a lot of borders to cross.

Let's just have a laugh.  Saw this on the SCS Forums, not my photos.

This guy really hates tolls.

Traffic, what traffic?

Police are TOO good.  He spotted you speeding from under the motorway! lol  [excited]

This car was just here, like this alongside the road when the player drove by. Nothing weird here.

Mods can really fudge up your game.

Cop abandoned his car with the door open?  Did he chase after someone on foot?

Those are some quality plastic containers!

Who is to blame here?  Let's just blame the AI like we always do.

Pizza on the go!!

LOL!  I needed that! ^  I love our silly big truck game, but what makes it endearing is the stupidity that can occur too!

Yay! [excited]
Even the routine work simulator must have some funny side ;D.

As a compensation, when the cop car is going in opposite direction, it usually doesn’t have a time to detect your speed ;D.

A long time ago, I was played ETS2 and I somehow didn't notice the cars in front of me slow down and stop.  I ran right into the back of a police car.... and.... it didn't give me a ticket!!! :D  lol!  I have no idea how that happened.

Last two weeks ETS strikes back! Today is a post about Switzerland, this time from Bern — with chocolate factory as one of new cargo depots! Something tells me that GonDelez office is a parody to Mondelez ;D.

So I was on ETS2 yesterday driving a delivery 490 miles to it's destination in Vienna.  After that silly post above by Wolfwood, I thought I would share this.  With eleven miles to go, I took a right turn and apparently my trail clipped into the guardrail along side the road.  Then I was stuck, so I slowly tried to back up, but then my trailer and truck went made and glitched, flew into the air, and fell to the earth on it's side completely damaged out...

So yeah.  I didn't take any pictures, because I was very mad, but I just want to say that stupid stuff happens.
