I've never heard of Tirsan, but just by the name I said to myself they are from Turkey.  Lo and behold, they are from Turkey.  So I wonder if they supply the middle east more than Europe?  There isn't a whole lot of info on them online. They don't even have a Wikipedia! :o

^Since Salzburg has a river, it’s not impossibe to have a ferry ;D.

But... how could I miss the yesterday’s announcement of a stream with some new stuff for ATS? :-0

That was pretty unexpectable, especially for people who don’t look at SCS Forums often. So, we have two long-awaited trucks in two weeks!

Well, that was unexpectedly sudden. I seriously had no idea this was gonna happen so fast.

I think that means that every modern truck is represented in ATS (except for the new Peterbilt's and Kenworth's, but they do have older generations of their trucks in the game.

So, the new truck is more loud than all you had before — not only the louder engine, but you will have buzzer of a new blind spot sensor, and, if you are in the dense traffic, this buzzer will sing every time you switch on the turn signal ;D.
You have a lot of small tuning options: different height for the same vertical exhaust pipes, different chassis cover and door steps (this option was only in ETS before), several Flow Below wheel covers... even the windshield has the optional heating wires!

Not a big color difference between different interior options, but if it is the same as IRL, it’s OK. The important part is that the model quality is good — during the stream, the developers said they used all references for doing their work, even the clay model ;D.
Since the new truck came so sudden, I had to ask the bank for money, and took the biggest trailer set for a quick earning of 400 k$ ;D.

If compare with previous generation, the top engine is a bit less powerful, the tanks are a bit smaller — it’s not the first time we see it in these games ;D. But, I think, new Volvo VNL may replace the older model completely — they are not so different as Volvo FH from 2009 and 2012, or as Renault Magnum and Renault T, so, this new truck is just an update of a previous model, like Iveco Hi-Way.

P.S. BTW, I found the location of that photo

It’s in Wyoming ;D.

I didn't expect to see a Volvo VNL already!  Wow.  I can't wait to try it out.  Thank you for your thorough review of the  new truck, Tim.  It's funny, everyone begged for the MAN, but no one expected the Volvo.  ;D

Wyoming for that pic?  I had no idea.

Honestly, the previous Volvo VNL has also came unexpectedly — it was accidentally spotted in the Oregon DLC trailer, and only after that the developers said this truck is going to be added very soon.

I am away for two days, and SCS surprised us with a VNL?  Lol!  What on earth?  I was busy driving the new MAN, which is very nice, but not all that different.  But now I need to buy the VNL.  I need to spend my millions of dollars somehow. ;D Maybe buy a new trailer for it too. I'm buying it in the promo colored blue they use it in all the promotional material.

I have yet to test it, but I actually bought on with the 485hp engine.  It seemed to have more low end torque then their most powerful engine.  After work, I will have to see how it performs.

I assume we all modify it to remove the "Globetrotter" lettering atop the front?  lol.  ^b-

A good addition to what we already can see in France, Idaho and Utah ;D. Also, the smily locomotive on this screenshot looks... meh :-\.

I think it looks okay in there.  Outdated sure, but that is the charm. Now we just need some eyes and a big fat controller. That location with the train and roads is very very cool!  Great update for the WB!

Well, I like the look of this locomotive IRL, but on the game screenshot it has less rich color palette ;D.

Is it weird I am liking the new VNL more than the new TGX?  Anyone else loving the VNL?

I am really liking them both, but the new VNL is much more different then previous VNL compared to the new TGX and the old one.  In that sense, I do really like the new VNL.
