ROAD KINGS GAMEPLAY: We Can Fill Our Trailers & Multiple Stops With One Load

This game is getting more and more impressive. The driver says you can feel the weight of items in your trailer moving when you apply the breaks. It's more arcade but the graphics are incredible for a trucking game. We can plan what we want loaded in our trailers by stopping at multiple depots to fill our trailer up if we so choose. That means one trailer might have three different loads in it requiring us to stop at multiple locations on one trip to empty it. This is a feature ETS2 and ATS players have wanted for years.

The map is currently scaled roughly 1:9 taking about 9 minutes for one game hour.  The map is roughly from Macon, Georgia to Jacksonville, Florida.  The story is currently 10 hours but you have freedom to not follow the story and drive your own loads and build your company.

^With more fresh game engine, the lighting system looks less cartoony and more immersive.
Oh, they still have a couple of posts to be shown before the South Dakota release. Not so much hills and mountains today ;D.

Seems like the distant trees on the mountains are less simpistic than before. But still copy-pasted.

The game is coming as the biggest surprise for trucking sims in awhile. So far people are saying it lives up to what it's promising which is a pleasant surprise.

SCS has said BC is coming after South Dakota and Iceland, as well as after Coaches and Road Trip.  So it might not release until 2027 now.

It's going to be an expensive time of year. There are actually like four games I want between now and Christmas and of course that includes the DLCs from SCS.  Love these UK updates and Ireland. It's been a long time since that teaser.

WORLD OF TRUCKS EVENTS BACK TO NORMAL FOR THE REST OF THIS YEAR . . .

Changes have been postponed for the moment. The changes they wanted to accomplish are not ready for the holiday season. Here are their words below.

Earlier this year, we shared that we would be taking a temporary pause from running our World of Trucks events. We also know how much these events mean to our #BestCommunityEver and that many of you have missed taking part. Today, we are pleased to confirm that we have decided to resume our World of Trucks events in the familiar format you already know, while the wider rework continues.

This means you can once again look forward to coming together for events throughout the months ahead. First up will be Cruising South Dakota, followed by Cruising Iceland and our seasonal Halloween and Christmas events later this year. We will share full details ahead of each event.

Our teams will continue working on the underlying systems and infrastructure that support these events, with the goal of bringing much more of the event experience directly into Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. This includes the improvements we previously described, such as the ability to view and redeem rewards, earn and view achievements, and follow event progress and community milestones directly in-game. It also involves broader behind-the-scenes changes to support the World of Trucks service in the future.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, support, and passion. We are excited to welcome you back to World of Trucks events and hope you will join us for the journeys ahead.
