New Scooby Doo comic, Allergies, Messy, (M)

I noticed earlier that it had been about two months since I last posted a new Scooby Doo cartoon, so I got out my pencil and paper, (still no computer program for me) and I got to work on a new cartoon.

I had no idea what to draw so I first started on a comic of Scooby in bed with a bad cold. I’ve got about halfway through it and decided it was terrible  :.  I am not into Colds or germs so maybe my heart wasn’t into it.

I started on a new one in which Scooby is hiding (big surprise there 😆).  Notices that he is hiding behind a big bouquet of flowers And every flower he is allergic to

I did my best to make his expressions exaggerated and to make his allergic reaction as messy as possible without going overboard

That’s what I was going for.  Mid 1970’s Hannah Barbera style . Hopefully I didn’t go too far over the top

One suggestion: use a little colour — it doesn’t need to be on whole picture, sometimes it’s enough to highlight some details (the idea from some old movie with red flag in black-and-white picture ).
For example, the blood vessels in Scooby’s eyes you can draw in red, the flowers, feathers or other sneeze irritant also can be drawn in colors. In another words, try to draw the normal things with a black pencil, and sneeze-related details — with coloured ones.

Thanks, Scooby Doo must have put up a long fight with that sneeze to make that much of a mess, HEE, HEE.

Thank you for your advice, really .  I'm always looking for ways to improve my work.  Back around 15 year's ago I used to color some of my drawings but I colored everything.  I'm going to play around with you idea.  Thank you again
