Yeah,  I have never seen so many Walmarts in my life.  It's like every exit, even at tiny towns.  There is a Walmart for some reason.  Must be the highest per capita of Walmart and greasy fried food restaurants ever.  The food here is good, but it is hard to find non fried greasy food, lol!

For lunch I a BLT sandwich from a grocery store.  It was pretty good, generic, but good.

Oh yeah, I have probably gained way too much weight.

When do you head back home?

Probably in a day.  So one more day here, then back to the airport up in Memphis.

I would like to go see Nashville...  Wonder if I could go drive there in a day...

According to Google Maps, it is not different in time practically from Memphis to Jackson.  So if you drove back to Memphis, it would just be over a three hour drive...

It stinks down here.  It's hot, humid, sticky, and all the cities look like they've been hit by bomb shells...  Little towns are crumbling, tree's growing out of old buildings.  Jackson is a sorry excuse for a state capital, and Memphis does not live up to it's supposed charm. ..  So many empty grassy lots where buildings were torn down.  Very disappointing and depressing part of the country.

You forgot the graffiti and the rampant public urination.

Yeah, the city really went to hell under five terms of "King Willie" Herenton.  They elected a new guy, Wharton, mayor in '09, and he's since been succeeded by a fellow named Strickland, but it's basically same circus, new ringmaster.

Thats a lot of driving in one day.  Six hours plus 3 hours back to Memphis from Nashville.... I mean if I got up real early.

I truly feel bad for the people who live in that city.
