Do we at PSF have an elitist attitude?  Like seriously, look outside of our site and look in as an outsider.  Are we elitists?

I don't believe so.
I think, sometimes, we may look at someone who says something slightly unkind and rude and freak the flip out, and that may come across as us not being able to take criticism, but when a person is repeatedly rude, then I think it warrants the anger.

And I feel, perhaps from an outsiders perspective, if they didn't know about past history, the way we respond icily and cooly to IF may come off this way. But from how we see it, it's just an attempt to cut the conversation in the bud and not cause an uproar with him.

I don't think so.  We do live in a nice bubble, but we are well aware of the outside.  Only one person is elitist, and it is the one doing all the complaining.
