It's... Daniel Ingram was asleep on his keyboard, drunk out of his mind, depressed over his divorce with his wife that I'm not sure if he has, begging for Hasbro to just fire him. That's how bland and boring and uninspired the music was. The only good one was Twilight's song. Because Ingram again wants to emulate Wicked. It's not a bad song, the music in that one is great, but it lacks an oomph. I say from the vocals. The media form not allowing the actor to belt out the lines with raw emotion like one could in say a Broadway musical.

Besides that, the Mane6 are horribly bland and one sided. Barely have any character to them. Applejack and Rainbow were actually okay. And Sunset and Sci!Twi were good, the only ones who have good character. Sci!Twi is pretty cute.

Hem might honestly need time off.  It is common to run out of creative juices.  That is why so many musicians for example have their best album be their first, then go down hill from there or just stop after a few CD's.
