I'm not sure.  I know in the case of love, people get needy because they feel they can share their needs with the one they love, and hope the one they love loves them back enough to care.

I would only bring it up if he starts getting that way again to you.  Like, don't just start it up out of the blue if you are talking about plant food and top soil. ;)

That is the worst, DB.  :(  I never want to hurt their feelings, and I usually let it go too long.  I think if you don't stop them, they feel their is still hope or a chance.  It's like leading them on, ya know?  I think Darrin is right, and just tell them straight, dash their dreams and hopes.  :(  Then if they still keep doing it, move on completely. :(

Well, I have told him I'm not interested and he knows. But them e tells me like he feels like he just wasted a year of his life chasing something that couldn't happen and it's ugh.

Though doing that, you'd know better then I, some get defensive and it can cause a little argument.

Yeah, I miss college sometimes, although I often wonder if nostalgia has set in and it was really as great as I remember. I mean, sure, there was freedom, and the food was pretty good, but you have to deal with so much drama and lies and juvenile pranks, your head gets all twisted around and you don't even know what is real anymore.

I know it was said somewhere else before, but nostalgia is like blinders.  You only remember and see what you want to remember and see.  But we can't fall in that trap on living in the past.  Got to plan for the future and live in the current.

College food good?  Hmmm.  Must have been a good college. ;)
