Oh the recent movie is so heartwarming. I did enjoy it a lot. Was very cute.

I wanna see it.  I was worried they were going to ruin the classics.

What? No. His kids helped work on it to ensure itd stay loyal to the originals. They also wanted to respect the classics, so they tried really hard.

I'm glad.  So many classics have been ruined by film makers.... Avatar... while not a classic, could have been an awesome film series.  Sadly it was short lived and ruined by one poorly made film.

Eh, it wasn't a show that would have been able to translate well to movies anyway. So like, yeah.

Probably should have been done animated.

No not even. It wouldn't have translated to movie that well because 2hrs of film is not enough to cover 20 some 30min episodes. Things would be left out. And why make an animated movie when you got the animated show lol. *shrug* was just a bad idea from the start.

I meant like a new story in a film, not just repeat the series in a film, lol!

Ah, hm, but then it wouldn't be avatar? Or you mean like, A Legend of Korra but as a movie? Like in the same universe? Idk what it would be.

Just something in the same universe, or maybe a new adventure with Aang and the gang.  A Korra film instead of a series, or just a film on some other avatar, they could have done something.

Another adventure of aang and the gang would have been cool. But he thing is, there would be nothing that could match the stakes there were in the original. It mostly could have been them restoring the other places, but again, stake wouldn't be as high. And thus, a somewhat less exciting movie :/ but it could have been a tv only movie or something.

Yeah, thats true.

They could have done another story of a past avatar too then, one that was mentioned in Avatar.  That would have been cool.  Maybe the start of the Fire Nation's expansion, or the fall of the Air Kingdom.  They had a lot of stuff they could have done.

Well uh, they told that story in the show. The whole relationship of the Fire Nation Avatar and his relationship with the then current Fire Lord. And the fall of the Air Kingdom was quick and swift. The Fire Nation exterminated then. They would be pretty dark stories, a lot more er, bloody. Would prob be PG-13 or something. Ooooh *shudders*

I know, it would be awesome to see that.   Go in depth and deeper then the little vague story they told us.

Oh I would LOVE to see a movie like that done right. Sozin's Comet coming down, giving all the firebenders incredible power, and then they mercilessly wipe out all the Air Nomads......I wanna see Monk Gyatso fight off as many benders as he can before he finally gets done it.
