He has some interesting thoughts.  He is claiming G6 will be G4 again.  He gives his reasoning and provides evidence.  Some of the evidence is pretty clear that Hasbro's intentions may be for more G4 content and if this is true, it might be as soon as late 2026.

So... a reboot?  "Lost" episodes?  Equestrian Girls content? A look at some alternate-universe scenarios with Celestia's magic mirror?  Give the fans what they've been clamoring for, like resurrecting King Sombra and a redemption arc for Queen Chrysalis?   I dunno... part of me is intrigued; part of me simply wants to see the writing staff and voice cast move on to other projects, but with an occasional wink-and-a-nod to MLP.  Like, Ashleigh Ball as the voice of both a wicked guitar-playing cowgirl and a rainbow-haired henchgirl... or Tara Strong as a brainy, bespectacled girl with a lot of lavender and purple in her color palette...who is in a wheelchair, but doesn't let it get her down.

Well, that bit about the new comic book company having the rights does give us a hint.  But who knows if that is true. It might just be the comic studios job to continue G4 stories while the tv series could be completely different.  Though that goes against what he said with HASBRO wanting one series at a time. Who knows?

«Lost» episodes is a crazy idea, but it can work for a show with a separate story for each episode — honestly, a lot of episodes from original FiM could be put into another season seamlessly, except for small details like CMC trio with cutie marks or Twilight’s castle. After all, I remember an anime named Non Non Biyori, where the creators put the Season 2 episodes between the Season 1 ones... and they did the same again in Season 3, so it looked like they just expanded the first season with new fillers.
More Equestria Girls? If they have some unused ideas, let them finish the show.
At least, unlike their pony counterparts, the most of main cast never had their sneezes. Only the lucky lavender-coloured nose was tickled once, and that’s all .

I don't know if FiM had any lost episodes. I would think at the most they had failed story ideas they never created an episode of, so maybe just storyboard art.

If G4 continues . . . how would they do it?  Same animation style (I doubt they would).  Would they have all new characters? New voices? New characters who occasionally visit our classic Mane 6?  Would it follow the Young 6 (I hope not).

A «prequel season» between 6 and 7, for example? Or, between 2 and (half-sized) 3, with more stories for wingless Twi .
I think it’s possible to restore the original graphic and animation style, but I doubt they can hire the same voice actor cast again.

I would not care or want stories of the Young 6.  They were pretty lame in my opinion.  I would love to see slice of life stories in Ponyville with our favorite cast and get to know the townsfolk.

Maybe retroactively treat episode 100-- titled, appropriately, "Slice of Life''--as a backdoor pilot?  Any particular characters you would deem spin-off worthy?  Maybe Derpy Hooves, if they could agree on a voice and name for her.   MAHAS, my ass.   But, yeah, often they use that phrase to describe Pony Life, which to me feels more like a "magic mirror" experiment to me. Like, you keep expecting The Mane Six to appear, in their normal animation style,  breaking the fourth wall to mock the show as they watch it, a la Teen Titans Go or Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years. Frankly, the frequent use of potion magic thing with the girls is weird.  It's like they're little children pretending to be a bunch of depressed forty-something wine moms.

Yeah, I think finding a space "between" seasons might be the best bet.  I don't know if I want to see super alicorn Twilight all the time. I did like their normal size characters.  Episode 100 would be a good space.
