Here is "Tome of the Unknown."  This is not "Over the Garden Wall" but the precursor.

I had never seen it before, until today.  So I figured this little vid would be fun for others who enjoyed the show as much as me.

Thanks for sharing that.  I really enjoyed this series when it came out, and I made sure to watch each episode when it premiered too.  The video APD shared was really good though too.  I really enjoy the storybook feel to all these.  Americana and turn of the century.

There's also a comic book tie-in.  It sort of fills in a few gaps between acts, like the story of the talking horse and the mysterious highwayman, or the tale of the Woodsman, his daughter, and the ruinous deal he made with The Beast.  Here's an excerpt.

"Drink nectar from my horn." Yeah, not creepy or perverted-sounding at all.    ::)

I didn't know there was a comic.  It looks to be high quality too.  Thanks!

The art style keeps the same vibe as the show.

The cult classic is getting a stop-motion 10th anniversary special.  This came out of nowhere. (Yes, it's been ten years already!)

Article

Patrick McHale, the creator of the Emmy-winning series, is collaborating with Aardman, the animation studio behind claymation legends Wallace & Gromit, and my personal idol, Shaun the Sheep, on the project. The post below offers a sneak peek of the Over the Garden Wall characters in stop-motion form. We don’t yet know what this 10th anniversary Over the Garden Wall short will depict or whether it will even have any kind of plot, but we are excited to find out.

The new stop-motion Over the Garden Wall short will be available to watch on Cartoon Network’s YouTube and social media on November 3. Although the short may arrive a little late for Halloween, it’s still the coziest animation for any night in the Fall. To catch up before November, the Over the Garden Wall miniseries is available to stream on Hulu.

I watched both and they are wonderful. Aardman does such a lovely job and it's wonderful they got all the original actors and creator back to make it.  It's so much work to create all those props just for such a short animation.  It was beautiful though.

That was a fantastic little special.  So wonderful how I got those vibes again from that.  A modern day classic no doubt.
