America is the only major western country that bans marrying cousins. It's apparently not illegal to do so in England and Canada.

It is encouraged in the south.

I don't know about... Encouraged. I'd say that usually south, farmers, they don't get to know many people besides kin, and also wanting to keep te land and property in the family name and then that's why they do it.

My favorites sort of change over time, because my first fav, Applejack, is no longer my favorite character of the Mane 7.

So as it stands now....

Always been partial to Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle now more then ever.  So maybe like this.  I don't like RD's character per say, but I like her in sneezy situations. 

So maybe Twilight, Dash, Apple, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie.

As for royalty, it would be Celestia, Luna, Cadance. 

Then I also like backgrounds characters just as much in some cases, because of weird personal canons I have made.

But note I do like all these characters a lot.  They might only be separated by one or two points (except Fluttershy, Pinkie, who are back more points)
