Actually, the Hamburg rebuild will lead to this town
.
Also, their
fresh
Twitter
post
shows that renewed 49
X
will have a little bigger hood. I still hope it will be not the only difference

Oh wow, a flat nose hood.
Look how little anyone cares.
But since they didn't post a blog post, I am willing to bet there is some more. Maybe a bigger engine to fill in that extra hood space?

Contrary to the 2020s trend?
I think it is intended for the bigger cooling systems, but what benefits it will bring in the game?
Anyway, at least, we will
see
this hood while driving the truck. The
JOST
fifth wheels and reinforced rear bumpers of
Krone
trailers don't give us this opportunity.

Have you seen these ads yet?
Honestly, I never really paid attention to the billboards, except the ones with
Texas
DLC announcement from last year. Again, the introducing of the real life companies is coming from the other side than the game community is requesting

This gives me a feeling.... we could see future trucking companies in ATS. Imagine liveries and some depots representing these companies players can sign up to work for? Imagine having a delivery schedule you could follow for a certain amount of runs. It would add to the diversity of gameplay!
I know people will worry about 'selling ad space' in the game, but I personally don't mind if they are on billboards. It adds to the realism and immersion . . . and I don't really pay much attention to billboards most of the time.

Turnpike tolls in Oklahoma
(
SCS Twitter
post with video
)
Not everyone likes the toll booths, but at least here they will not be as annoying as in Poland or France, when you need to stop or slow down every several minutes
.
My favorite ones are still in Portugal and the neighbouring areas of Spain, where you notice the presence of the toll collecting point only by the cash register sound.

Fudge. I didn't remember there being any tolls in Oklahoma. What the heck? How do I always avoid them then?
At least you don't need to stop. That is so annoying.

I've learned there is more to the billboards than what we initially thought. SCS has also made tons of new fictional brands, so very rarely will we see just real life ads for Schneider Trucking.

Alaska Road Truckers > Alaska Truck Simulator
Alaskan Road Truckers (formerly known as Alaskan Truck Simulator) is exactly what it sounds like it is: a simulation of life as a semi-truck driver battling the elements of Alaska in one of the toughest jobs on four wheels. In this exclusive eight-minute gameplay video, one of the developers talks you through the features and core philosophies of the game. The game certainly looks rough, but it is a massive improvement from what we've seen before. It seems they are leaning into their survival niche more, which I think will help this game not directly compete with the big-wig games in the trucking simulator genre.

Lots of bug and glitches, low frame rate, but it is a development build. I don't expect the same polish from a new studios. They did do a nice job on the environmental changes from the first time around. The mountains look great. Just don't expect any real town layouts.

Well, now that they've chosen a different course in their game, I think it's slightly better. I wonder if behind the scenes, the name changed because SCS contacted them? Nonetheless, I think this is a better name and a good direction for this dev to go with Alaskan Road Truckers.

Alaska Road Truckers might interest some, but as of right now, it looks pretty janky.
Now as for the California rework team, those people are doing God's work! Incredible stuff!

What's nice is each photo of the developers also shows their computer screen giving us some hints of locations. I THINK I see Modesto being worked on in Hoang's photo for example. Each one has something unique.
