I'm excited to see what the new compact pickup Ford is working on will look like and how much it costs.  It will be slotted under the Ranger.

The new truck is expected to be called the Ford Maverick (like the classic car).

That is pretty cool to see.  Should make for some interesting moments off road.

If they fully switched to a horizontal drive it would make parallel parking super easy, lol.

Agreed.  It is Jeep's move to go into a larger class to eat away sales from the Tahoe/Subruban/Yukon/Expedition crowd. The GRAND Wagoneer will be a move upmarket into the luxury SUV market, to take on the likes of the ultra-unreliable Land Rover marque.

Ford Reveled the new Ford F-150 Lighting electric pickup and will reveal the upcoming Maverick compact pickup truck on June 8th.

I wonder how much the F-150 sales will increase with the new Lightning truck, or if it will bite out of ICE versions of the truck.  Maybe it will bring in a whole new subset of buyers?

I think it will just draw a new subset of buyers.  Maybe a lot of Cybertruck prospective buyers because unlike the Telsa Cybertruck, the Lightning it real and will be ready for purchase.

Sadly it's not as cool as the concept.  They took out all the uniqueness and made it rather bland.   :'(
