I just got inspired by a couple in here that posted threads about their characters showing them off.
So I thought I'd do the same :3

I'll post them in comment replies so it stays tidy.

Starting this off by showing off my main fursona *I have two*

This is Lunarian Empress Umeko.
Mother of Niji and Skyiler
---

Umeko has been with me since I was a kid, she is me and I am her.
But it wasn't until much later that I got her name.
I used to walk around talking to myself a lot as a kid, when in fact I was talking to her.

Here are some artwork to show her development.
First drawing of her was posted in 2003.

This was hand drawn.

Then I changed her coloration:

And again coloration changed

Her hair and eyes took their colors here

Then for some reason I wiped it all

And then the design of her stripes started

Finally she beings to look what people know now

She got more tails and her hair was super long...

Her stripes grow solid instead of hollow and her outfit develops further, now she got four tails in total.

Here some of her purification magic is shown as she holds onto a dear person who's falling into the black abyss below

Here she is now fully developed

And finally the last picture of her

Out of all my characters: Umeko and Skyiler has gone through the biggest developments and have both grown so much through these years

Skyiler was first created back in 2004 under another name, then he fell into the pile of forgotten characters for a few years.
Then I needed a character for an RP I remembered the character that was in that pile, I brought him down from the pile, but I wasn't happy with his design or name.
So I put him into a blender and rebuilt him from scratch.
I added traits from all three races he has in him: Kitsune, Tiger and Mouse.
Now I had an empty blank design, time to splash colors on him; I gave him his mother's base fur color, then the striped got the color from his father, smoky grey arms and legs.
His mother's hair color, and the hair style called: Rat's tail *Spiky short hair ontop, with a long braid*
Then I gave him his dad's eye color: Red.

In 2008 I posted the first drawing of him:

Then through the RP his personality got developed and his backstory got fleshened out more.
A few years later I decide to revamp him a little more.

This was the first drawing after his revamp.

Throughout the years he has grown into a pretty alright character, he went from being just a forgotten character to become my pride and joy, and now he has a small fan base.

And it wasn't until like last year *2017* that I realized he has become more than just a character, I've grown so attached to him, he is my second fursona.
There is a lot about him that mirrors me.

And this year *2018* Skyiler as the character people know him as now, turns 10 years old.
The first picture of him was posted in August of 2008.

I'll post a couple more pictures to show how he has developed over the years since the revamp in 2014.

This one was one of my personal favorites not sure why, now the more I look at it, I see how much I rushed with it, I find a lot of oopsies; the moon on his tail is wrong. Lineart is sketchy and the colors go outside of the lines ect.
But his face is nice :3

Here was one of the first pictures I drew him with one of his children

In 2016 I decided to redraw that first drawing of him, it was mainly for myself to see if there had been any improvements.

I love drawing wings, they're so much fun, so I drew him flying.

One of the first drawings of 2017, the hair pieces on the sides are growing longer o.o.
Not sure how or why, it just happened XD

The thing about his fangs growing is also pretty new.

---

And now for the sneezy pictures cause there are a few :P

First time I drew him sneeze it was just a doodle cause someone requested it X3 it was quite difficult but I did it:

*Psst it's manga style read it in that order*

This one gave me so many issues and it's still very awkward drawing my pride and joy this way.

It gets easier tho

Back in 2015 I draw my first fullcolor comic of him in the middle of a fit... This took sooo long and it blue screened my old computer like twice cause it was so big XD

There's something about big animals sneezing not sure what it is but yeah. I never finished this until much later.

This one I drew for Mystery Serpent cause he is such an amazing friend *He likes female sneezes and I really tried to draw a female sneeze but I couldn't get it done... but I know he likes Skyiler a little so I drew him instead*

And here is the feral one all colored.

Enjoy these ^-^ and hope you enjoyed my little storytelling time.

Quite the collection!  I didn't know it was as recently as 2015 when you first colored him in a full comic.

Watching the progression through time is very cool.  It's always weird looking back on pics we were so proud of, then seeing how much we've changed our style or improved over that time.

My pizza delivery job got insane over Christmas and New Years sadly. I've been away from my laptop for a long while, but now that my school semester starts back up my two jobs have to cut back my hours. I have time to myself now =)

I've followed you for a few years now, and I've seen your old artwork on DA and commented on some of them in the past. Seeing your fursona Umeko is awesome, and to me it is really interesting how she developed overtime as you yourself developed. =) She honestly has a very, very adorable design in 2004. The animelike style mixed with your own style turned out really sweet there. As you developed into more of your own style the details got more noticable. I love how you did her tail and her wings in the more modern designs. I'm not sure why, but the way you use to draw her hair reminds me a lot of the style of Sailor Moon, but the more modern hairstyle is really good looking for your fursona and I enjoy it a lot =) Also, the change of colors from her original look to now is really fun to see shown here. I enjoy the blues and purples she has a lot ^^

As for Skyiler he was the first character I've ever seen from you way back when I first joined Sneezefurs. That was the first time I was introduced to you. The sneeze 'doodle' you did to me honestly is still one of my favorites. It is cool how you did the different sneezy expressions, but more than that the first face expression with that first 'hmm?' before the sneeze made me smile back then and it still does today. It's just so nice to me when a character has that beginning, first initial realizing moment that something tingly is starting to grow into a sneeze.

I appreciate the mention you had for me *hugs* Thank you =)

I've commented with detail on the drawings themselves but I'll say this now. The normal nonsneezy drawings of Skyiler are great to see again, and I really enjoyed seeing Skyiler sneeze here in this collection of pictures you have of him :D

Thank you so much for being such a sweet friend Snake. During my time at Sneezefurs when I was pretty much in the shadows not really seen by anyone, you were there supporting me and the things I do, it wasn't as lonely then.

It was thanks to you that I ended up here where there are so many nice people, I feel I'm no longer in the shadows anymore.

Thank you sincerely

You're a good friend :)

Another of my older characters is Sniper Mallory

He was created back in 2003 as a biker mice from mars fan character and connected him with a friend's characters.
But a few years ago I decided to move away more from the BMFM *look* one way was that I removed all the mouse character's antennas.
And then I also changed Sniper's last name from Van Ripper to Mallory, cutting him away from my friend's creations.

Here are some pictures with him

First picture of Sniper was made in 2003 by hand.
He has changed quite a bit but not alot.

2004 I sketch him up again.
Then I did an attempt at coloring him

2004 was the year I got to test the waters at digital drawing as I got a hold of my first tablet:

This was one of the first pictures I did with it.

I attempt to color that old sketch with my tablet, it goes so so.

Four years goes by and I don't draw him until now this time by hand *My tablet broke ;o;*

Few more years passes then in 2011 I draw him again, here I discovered Manga Studio and the amazing things I can do in there.

2015 The last picture of him with antennas.

And finally last year's picture of him.

I've grown a habit of not drawing him for a few years <.< I hope to change that.
But yeah! :D Sniper is one of my oldest characters BUT there are a few who are MUCH older! I'll show them in the next sections

Out of all my characters, my TMNT ocs are the oldest *aside from Umeko who has been with me since I was a kid*

My TMNT ocs were created by me and my former best friend when we were kids.
Like... age how old were we... I'm thinking between 7 years old and up.
We were *well I was* big TMNT fans and we played TMNT during the breaks in school.
It started out with just the four turtles, I played as Raph and Leo while she was Donny and Mikey.
After a while we thought... hey... They need girlfriends... So we created the catgirls that are now their spouses.

After a while they have children of course.
Four sons and four daughters.
The four sons we decide they should make their own group and be the new generation of crime fighters.
The leader of the group is who I'm going to talk about here.
He was the one I played as.
Donatello Junior or D.J

This is the first picture I uploaded of him, I think I doodled him alot as a kid but never saved any XD

Second sketch of him then it'll be a few years before I draw him again.

Here he is again in 2010 then it'll be another 6 years before I draw him again.

Here he is in 2016 and next time he's drawn is just the next year.

This is the last drawing I've done of him, I made it as I was showing off all the TMNT sons so I thought he should have a new drawing too.

D.J is a treasured character of mine with a quirky former backstory, see back when we were kids we didn't know that *Dating your cousin is a form of incest XD* He was dating his cousin *Mikey's daughter* but that just had to go when I realized the *oops!* then I remembered we did have another lover in mind for him back then.
He had a new love interest while dating his cousin, and that was Howie *back then... it was Howie from BSB cause yeaaaaah XD don't judge me!*
So I decided hey let Howie be D.J's lover and that will be my first ever gay couple.

So yeah a little glance at how my childhood was, I had a very vivid imagination and I was making things up all the time, I guess that's what laid down the path that I'm walking now :o

Kenji Umishima is Skyiler and Niji's father.
I'm still working on his backstory

Kenji was not mine from the start, it belonged to my ex and one of my oldest friends.
After we broke up he was going to throw Kenji into the pile of unwanted characters.
But I thought he was too good of a character to be wasted away.
So I asked if I could hang onto him for safe keeping and in case he wants him back.

So that's when I got Kenji.
My friend doesn't have a lot of drawings as he deleted most of them, but I think there's one sketch.

All these are from 2004 and by my friend.
Now I'll show pictures that I drew while he still owned him and then after he gave him to me.

This was done back in 2004 by hand.

Next time I drew him was in 2010, I added a small feature to him here, his hair is in a long wrapping thing.

2013 he's fully mine now, I promised to keep his design the same, all I did was make his hair a little longer.

2016 I posted two of them a quick doodle

And this one.

And finally 2017
