I don't know what the last generation you played was but X/Y is a really comfy chapter in pokemon.  It's not difficult, the region is based on Paris, and there is a lot of online support, but its not nearly as necessary as it was with White/Black.  Berry growing is back too.

In Gen5 you had to log into the dreamworld to grow berries, then send them back to your game over internet.  It was a little tedious.

A website called Serebii has a lot of information on a lot of different pokemon topics.

Jwittz is a youtube guy that's hilarious to watch but he's also very enjoyable and knowledgeable about different pokemon stuff...like the best and worst kinds of poke balls, random pokemon facts, and what some good and not so good pokemon games are in his opinion. It's a really fun youtube channel!

well its a shame i got Pokemon y and not x that's why my 3DS is red but im trying to catch a shiny pikachu than evolve it into a raichu i already got a raichu lv 100 raised by myself.

List some personal favorite pokemon! with over 700 to chose from there are many choices. It is hard to choose just a few XD

I love dragonair, Gardevoir's line, Latias/Latios, budew and the evolutions roselia and roseraid , fennekin and their evolutions, and of course the powerful mewtwo arbok and serperior too for obvious reasons with my username . Lopunny and Lucario too!

One pokemon that is not very common is Quilava gold/silver were amazing games
