I think nearly anyone who enjoys drawing draws for fun.  It is a way to relax and do something you enjoy.

Totally.   It's great to sit down and sketch something out.

But I wasn't and am still not really an artist.  It was the people at PSF that encouraged me to continue.

That is pretty great.  The people here are really nice, but from what I've seen of your work, you're pretty great.  You have a broad range of stuff you can do.

Mainly ponies, but some human stuff too.

Thats what I meant, you do a lot of diff ponies.  But keep it up.  You actually have it down really good, then you can expand your horizons to other stuff too.   Never stop.

Once the fandom fades, I will need to find something new to try.

Try your own original art style and characters.   Your coloring is already very happy.

Thank you.  But really, I am no different then you or anyone.  We all start out somewhere.  Keep honing in and developing your skills.  You might be a great someday.   Like one of those famous folks.

I look around online and look at some artist who is amazing, then look them up and they are like... 12.  I am shocked at how developed some people are.  It took me a ton of hard work to get to the point I am at.

I remember all the hurdles and influences.  One of the biggest changing points for me was learning to draw characters that were not differentiated by just hair.  In the old days, my male characters had short hair and the girls simply had long hair.  Being able to learn body shapes helped so much.  But I had growing pains during that, it was tough for me, but one of my biggest accomplishments in drawing.

I'm gonna post this in here as to not possibly spoiler people in Adorkable Twilight & Friends, and it is related to both.

Here were some transition pictures of Commander Griggs.  I won't go into detail, but this was a sketch dump if you will, and one of these was chosen to be Commander Grigg's without his armor.  I'll say nothing more.  We have them for other characters too.
