Or it raises how poorly Pinkie Pie respects others and treats them.  They would shun her for a reason, not for no reason.

I see what you did there.  Went opposite of the grain and I think that makes a lot of sense.  Whenever we see Pinkie in this series, for the most part she is being obnoxious.  So of course pones will start to tune her out.  It's her own doing!

Exactly!  I think it is her own doing too.

That said, I want to see her friendship build with the others again.  I don't want her to be sad and alone.

I do want to see her develop more, though we've gotten a good amount here.

You could argue her intentions are un-pure for purity, but.... can you fault her here?

I know what it is to crave acceptance and friendship. I know how it feels to be socially awkward and play the clown to get attention. I know about histrionic disorders, autism, and Asperger's syndrome all being on the same general behavior spectrum. It's linked to low dopamine levels in the brain, and often sufferers fail to realize how much their behavior alienates and offends people in their mad rush for that "fix".  However.... faking a crime is a pretty serious offense.  Moondancer might do well to talk to Officer Cuffs-- strictly off the record, perhaps-- about such behavior.  I'm not sure I can condone such a thing, regardless of how "pure" her intent was.  And Pinkie's friends might do well to take her aside now and again and let her know she's gone too far, and to rein it in. She'd be better for it.

Something does need to be done, you can't just fake a crime.  But then I started thinking also on a more extreme level before we found out it was Pinkie. @NostradamusTheSeer

What if she was saying "thank you for saving myself?"  What if Pinkie was so miserable she was trying to take her own life?  Yikes. :P

Which reminded me to check todays episode and I think it came to a very nice closing.  What do you all think?  Did Pinkie Pie get off too early?  Did you expect Twi to get involved as such?  How was Moondancer's performance in all this?  Thoughts.

I think it was handled with care, but started out shocking.  It got you on alert with the possible mugging. But I think it ended with a nice end.  It started a new arc for Twilight too being a better friend to her friends.  I think that was cleverly done, because I didn't expect to see Twilight again at all.  And a sideliner in all this is major props for Moondancer.  She got no gain to her election thing here, but she got a friend and she showed leadership.  Good job, Moondancer.

If her political aspirations don't pan out, Moondancer might still have a future in forensic science. The way she analyzed the mud splatters and the bruise pattern on Pinkie's face speak to a good attention to detail.  She could be a great consulting detective.

Poor Pinkie.  Perhaps she needs to talk to someone. It's  time to call... Sigmund Freud Pony.

I think it was a very well done closing to that storyline.

Moondancer isn't someone to take friendship advice from, especially in this series, but she made a good point and I hope this turns out better for everyone.  No one seemed to get the raw end of the deal here.

I hope this will lead to more good interactions for Twi and her friends.  Hope this helps out pinkie too.  I was impressed with Moondancer's overall response to all of this.

I thought Pinkie was maybe thankful she was saved from committing something bad upon herself...

I don't know why, but I found today's comic sweet.  It humanized Starlight Glimmer more.  She has something she loves and for her to have to give it up possibly, it made me sad.  She seemed out of sorts and very upset.  It was cute to see her more fragile side.

I thought the exact same thing.  It was refreshing.  She usually looks very smug, but this time, she didn't!  Loved that.
