According to the comments today, the theory of multiple artists has now appears there!

It didn't gain much traction though, pulling in just one visible convert.

Let's just say his pupils contracted due to lack of blood in his head.

Boy, Rarity's really bucking for that three-way, isn't she...?

They made the whole image of a three way appear without having to say it.  Genius.  ;)  Lol!  Rarity is not subtle.

I'm pretty sure that anonymous commenter was probably one of us. So... Can't really say the general public has that same theory. And considering no one else replied except one person with a "I haven't noticed", it seems people feel the style has been consistent enough that "multiple artist" theory hasn't even popped into their minds. Honestly, I just think it's a product of the artists improving and taking more time into making the shapes look better. While when it looks kinda sketch it was them rushing to get one out or intentionally cartoonizing the style for comedic effect.

Fair enough.

Today's comic was completely different.

Today's comic.

Nice  use of shading. Pinkie's expression is scary. I mean, got-dang freaking slasher flick scary.

Also, the placement of the flashlight doesn't help the creep factor.   :P

Seriously, that image of Pinkie Pie is nightmare material.  She will probably come and eat your soul while you are sleeping.

Though bonus points for Spike for not giving an F.  He will probably freak out right after that response from Twi though.
