She's socially awkward.   Like making a joke about world domination and frightening Spike, then being all "Too soon?" about it.  Or the first we saw of her in this series, battling the mysterious stomach ailment (some introduction, huh?)  And of course, who could forget unthinkingly noshing on Twi's precious pickles.....

I saw the name of the title and had to click to see what you wrote.  You always have some goofy banter or witty insight into something. 

Yes, Starlight is socially awkward and we haven't seen anything that provides evidence otherwise.  It is what makes her unique in this series and fun to read.

How is she to know those were Twilight's special pickles?  She roams the castle and rummages through the kitchen looking for a snack, and found an innocent jar of pickles.  Extra large.  It's hard to read, but if you zoom in close enough to that jar of pickles, the brand is called, "Sukkot."  Sukkot brand extra large pickles.
