This was like dropping a bomb.  I really disliked Pinkie Pie in this comic... and now they just pretty much just called me out for it... and now I feel bad.

This was a serious punch in the gut, then a whacker on the chin.

Smileys. Made a list of them. I had nothing better to do.

More Pinkie feels

It's a common theme to make her goofy as a defense mechanism.  It's a shame the show doesn't touch on it nearly as much.

I'm reminded why I don't hate Pinkie. Even if I found her irritating at her portrayal in the show. Yeah. I remember again.

So Pinkie made a choice, and it wasn't necessarily the choice she wanted.  She couldn't accept people NOT accepting her REAL self, and would instead rather have people not accept a fake her.

Wow.  I wasn't expecting this.  This may have been the deepest comic yet.

Sad ending, yet it has her laughing and acting goofy.  Isn't that weird how it was sad, yet "happy?"  This one goes under the well executed plots.

This explains her past behavior.  I do wish we could see more of her, but I know that won't happen as much.  But every time we see her acting weird, we now know why.

My guess is she will have a more personal relationship with Spike.

Spike seems to develop more then anyone in this series, and he gets the best out of others.

Spike is that guy who everyone feels comfortable opening up to for some reason, whether they like it or not.

And that is unique to this series, and I really like that.  Spike seems very chill and likable.  In the real series, he is meh to me.  He isn't written well often, but in this series, he is well written.  Too bad some of his traits here don't make it onto the real show.

I know this is geared to an older audience too.

Spike got a lot of love in S6 I feel.  Much better than some of his past treatment.

So Pinkie is a Sad Clown?

It makes sense, given what we know of her from show canon.  A lot of entertainers had pretty terrible bakgrounds to draw much of their humor from.

I wouldn't call her a sad clown, she tends to lash out pretty readily when her status quo is challenged.  Cranky, Spike, AJ, they all felt her varying degrees of insanity.

He did, but I always still feel it is lacking.  That is probably because it IS a kids show.

Sometimes the performer doesn't know when to turn it off.  He's fun and cute,  humorous to a point, but his shtick stales fast. He cannot readily tell when others are tired of him, or if the laughter is genuine and happy or derisive and at his expense. Often no one will do the brave thing, pull him aside and tell him he's gone too far. Spike at least tried.  I commend him.
