I suppose with the advent of synthetics, a joke about where the glue is going to come from for pasting those road reflectors might go over millennials' heads.

If not actually a politician, then Moondancer may have a future as a personal assistant to one.  I just hope she doesn't start going the Monica Lewisnky route.    :-[    ;D

Some does,  yes-- hooves, bones, and hides from horses, rabbits, and fish. The advent of synthetic adhesives, however, heralded a large collapse of the animal glue industry. Still, a few old-world craftsmen still prefer it for heavy tasks like cabinet-making, or delicate work like book-binding.

Yes some prefer the old world glue... just like some prefer the old world trans fats or classic old light bulbs and not LEDs.
