Death count in Berlin is now 12...

As for Russia's Turkish ambassador being assassinated... whew.  Russia's in a tough spot in how they want to handle this.  Their relations with Turkey were just starting to improve, because a few months ago Turkey apologizes for prior transgressions.

Assassinating an ambassador is an act of war.  There ave been wars started over lesser things. 

What makes this different is that it was a lone wolf not representative of the Turkish government.

So was Nedeljko Čabrinović. Well, not technically a lone wolf, perhaps-- he was a member of a radical group of anarchists--but the principle is still the same.  His deadly attack on Archduke Francis Ferdinand is what started World War I.

Yes, that is how it started. 

Nedeljko Čabrinović was only twenty when he died too.  They were part of a group known as the Black Hand.  Gavrilo Princip was the guy who actually did the shooting.

Actually, my history teacher says he was an outcast of the group. Because he was a horrible shot or something like that. He sure showed them.

Something not known by many is that the group was a group mainly of Muslim men as well.  But it was more about a pro-Bosnia then a religious crusade.

Yeah, something like that. I forget if Gavrilo was Bosnian or Serbian. My teacher would get super pissy if you got it wrong, because he's one of those nationalities or something.
