I noticed how all the trees are now deciduous trees instead of the evergreens and conifers we are used to in the western states.

Great looking photos from Texas.  I am trying to recognize some of those city shots, but alas, I cannot.

I almost bout the game "Truck Driver" on Steam.  It's on sale for $11USD.  I wanted to give it a try, but still decided against it.  I guess that tells you something...  SCS has be locked in their clutches!!!

Maybe, the *TS game installed on your computer has a script which pushes away the mouse arrow when you have a button «BUY NON-SCS PRODUCT» on your screen .

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

I have gotten more hyped for the Texas DLC than I was originally.   I all of a sudden realized how much new roads and content there will be.  A whole new geographic biome as opposed to the greener west minus the southwest.  The cities and industry of Texas look great!

I am still more hyped for Montana though.  I love that state and can't wait to use I-90 to get to central states faster. 

I wonder when the first Balkans DLC blog post will be.  Admittedly, I am not very excited about it and I am not sure why. I should be very excited, but I am just not very hyped about it right now. Hopefully some posts will change my attitude towards it, like the recent Texas posts have hyped me for Texas.

Just give it some time.  When they start posting photos and info, you will probably get more excited.

The area in announced DLC is smaller than Iberia or Baltic, so it can be either higher road density or shorter development time .

So, in addition to announced new road in Wyoming DLC, there are two new trailers — the long-awaited Fuel Tank, and the Dry Bulk for cargoes like sand, cement etc. As you can see, they are not very paintable — you can apply some striped paintscheme only to the tank’s surface, the rest of a trailer is just a glossy steel (with some aluminium details) .
I like how many types of chassis new trailers have, but of course, that 22' bulk trailer (579's chassis looks longer!) is not welcomed in any of my garages .
Other smaller updates include the rain sensor, rebranding of some truck stops and an option to disable the X X X X markings.
I expect that beta test will not be long, so I am returning to 1.44 and waiting for a beta for ETS, it will probably come out in Tuesday or Wednesday.

New route on the map has be excited.  I remember going up to the furthest point of Wyoming currently, in the northwest corner, and it seemed so weird to just have it end there.  Same with the point at the far northeast.

I may have bought couple dlc to fill up my map even thou i've basically just started XD But i got so tempted with the sales that i couldnt let them pass, i think i got Utah and new mexico? Utah definitely but i dont remember what the second was And i got some kinda "unnecessary" dlc which is... Cabin goods... I saw a toy truck in the pics and i need it so i can have a truck in my truck XD

Also i have a question to all of you drivers...
Which camera you use to drive?
A. In the cab, behind the wheel
B. 3rd person view, so you see the whole truck and all directions
C. First person truck view, you see only what's infront of your truck and mirror view from sidemirrors
D. Truck view without mirror(i like to live dangerously)

For me i use C. except when i'm parking and sometimes i switch to the 3rd person view to see if i forgot my blinker on XD
But mainly C. Probably the easiest view to drive and not very realistic, but since i am driving with keyboard, i like to BE the truck, not a driver

I'm curious to hear how many are driving with full realism experience!
I'm guessing @timmelon must be driving with cab view! Do tell me if i'm wrong

Map DLC’s are must-have, everything else is secondary.

My primary mode is view from behind the wheel with one cheater’s mirror on the right side. The left mirror is always real, even if it’s a bit difficult to fit into the 21:9 screen .

Although aero-Americans and Europeans allow to fit the mirror even into 16:9

The views are much better than in Hard Truck 2, where there were only one cheater’s mirror on the right side (for some reason it shows the picture from the left ), the real mirrors are missing and show up only when you turn the head to the right, also, the mouse look was removed from this game before the release .

And of course, for every lane changing and maneuvering on the bases I briefly switch to outer camera on the button 2, also, after a brief nostalgic run in 18WoS I loved the top camera on the button 3 — sometimes it’s useful for precise parking, but I totally forgot about it’s existence in newer games .

A. In the cab, behind the wheel.  I never look at the other cameras.  But I totally recommend using the other cameras and finding what works for you.

Many people shift cameras if they choose to back up into loading areas as well.  I'm stubborn and don't.
