Before I go any further, click this video links below.  It will take six minutes of your time.

Did you see it?  Did you see the animation magic?  The magic that comes from a well pieced together scene animated by hand, with love, from animators who truly put their heart and soul in this?  It shows the choreography genius in the late Gene Kelley and musical talents of Randy Newman.  It brings that big brass band sound and gets your foot thumping.  You can see the lighting differences when a character can aspire and dream.  The cute expressions and quirks, the vocal talent.  It all comes together for a cohesive scene from a quality film.

Would you believe me if I told you this film bombed at the box office and only made $3.6 million?  Sadly that is true.  It was shuffled and forgotten during a merger with the parent company, Warner Brothers/Turner.  It got no advertising, released to theaters, and was a forgotten gem in 1997.

It was one of the last hand drawn animated films before the rise of computer generated films. It was one of my favorite films growing up. So I don't loose your attention, here is my art linked next.

THE COMIC

So incase you don't remember or are too young to remember, the female cat is named, Sawyer, and the male cat is, Danny.  This is almost an exact parody of a scene from the film that when I was younger, always imagined something like this would happen.  I always wanted Sawyer to sneeze, but no one ever drew it.  So I am that person.  I am that nut job that drew a picture that someday in the future, someone will find and be happy someone drew Sawyer sneezing!

If you haven't seen this film, I think you should go see it. I would be hard pressed to hear you didn't like it afterward.  I challenge you to see it if you haven't and get back to me.  Those who remember it, see it again.  It is even better now.  Thank you for your time, everyone.  I hope you enjoy this latest piece.  I put a good deal of time into it, and tried to put at least some of the same effort and heart into this, that the original show creators did!

I'm going to be the first to respond.  I watched the video first and just realized how much more there was to these movie then I remembered.  Just the tones of light, you could see when a character realized they should be dreaming and showing their potential.  I never caught that growing up.  Absolutely I will watch this full movie again.

Annnnnd now your comic.  WOW! :D  It gave me the biggest smile for unknown reasons.  Maybe because Sawyer and Danny look so awesome and cute!  They look very accurate to the show.

I like how you started this topic.  You gave us context to your drawing, your feelings and emotion towards this subject.  I like that.  I too watched the clip and enjoyed it.

What I enjoyed more was seeing your exuberance carried on to this comic of yours.  It looks wonderful and the characters are full of expression.  I love how you drew them, and they look adorbs.  Very pretty designs.

I loved this comic. <3 This was something I had always wanted to draw, sneezing or not. :3 You did an excellent job on this! This was one of my favorite movies of all time. :)

Well I finally got around to watching the clip and seeing the comic. I've honestly known about this movie for a long time. I even bought it for 25 cents for VHS at a garage sale a few years ago. Sadly I never got around to see it. This clip makes me want to see it. I honestly loved around the 4:00 mark. She isn't just a pretty cat, she literally is a cat. Animators don't do this very often with anthro girls. Even her cheeks are fluffed up! ;)

I liked her design on the VHS cover art case thing. I'm glad that she's just as pretty in the animation too. Also...that butler...man he looks like Frankenstein XD He did have good animation moves at about 4:45 though. I think that girl has one of the creepiest animated faces I've seen in a long time at the very end, 6:38. Stuff of nightmares.

Anyway, the comic itself I loved :D I really like how you did the different color outlines. Great different sneeze expression and build up expressions! The final expression she and he had was a fun treat to see. He looked stunned she had those sneezes, and she seemed like she was relieved but still feeling a little stuffy herself.

Thank you for taking time to draw a character sneezing that's never been done before! :) I really enjoyed seeing her sneeze.

I got to point out I love her first pre-sneeze face a lot.  Love that nostril twitch.

Where do I begin with a piece like this?  It's awesome!  I love how you took a scene I remember all too well, then changed it to make it like this.  Her expressions are the best here, and you draw their forms very nicely matching the show.

Darrin's gone guys.  I guess we will place this kitty cat in co-charge now to replace him.

I love this comic.  I love how you drew the characters, and totally wish this was colored.

I like your homage to the film too.  Very classy start to this topic.

I watched the clip then clicked on your comic and nostalgia flowed!  Wonderful work here, and I love how you drew Sawyer.  I certainly wouldn't stop you to draw her more.  Lovely work, Silverwing.
